I was listening to Mac and Gramlich’s latest podcast. I couldn’t help but feel vindicated when Mac said Clemson should have given Sammy Brown the ball on the Goal Line!

Yes!

It’s like our coaches were privately insecure about their manhood, and were compensating by trying to show the world that Clemson FB team, embodying the toughness of the coaches in that maximum test of FB toughness (e.g., the goal line situation), would THIS TIME win the LOS and score the TD by runn8ng it through TX defense’s brick wall.

Sorry to be so hard in our coaches, but the game is about scoring more points than the other team. At that point in the game, TX was not going to be suddenly intimidated about the Clemson’s offensive power at the LOS.

To top it off, the coaches didn’t learn anything from the failure on third and short. Did it again on 4th and short. At that point, it was game over.

Epic stupidity. Or epic misplaced ego.
