I was a Student at Clemson when he played, and he’s the fastest. Do your research people,, i preferred to do mine in Cooper Library and Brackett Hall.

Jacoby ford had more top line speed. Spiller had greater acceleration and shiftiness.

I know Ford was supposed to be faster on a track but I always suspected Spiller was faster in full pads. He sure looked faster on the football field to me.

James Trapp—Ran a reported sub-4.3 40-yard-dash time and 10.03 in the 100 meters. Also the NFL's Fastest Man for 1995.

Jacoby Ford ran a 4.126 40 yard dash
at Fork Union Military Academy, right before he transferred to Clemson.

Ford was also an NCAA All-American at Clemson in Track, and won the 60-meter dash at the NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships, first place out of everyone competing, in 2009.

Yet he got beat deep frequently. Frustrating player. Surprised he stuck in the NFL as long as he did. As the saying goes you can’t coach speed.

Fastest over what distance? Accelerating out of what turns? Ability to cause "ankle breaks"? Speed while being chased. Track speed. With football, without football - two different things. And so forth. That's a pretty superficial declaration.

Ford ran the 10th fastest 40 ever recorded at the NFL combine. His time was 4.28
