Are any of you just as excited for the Super Bowl as you were for the National Title game? I'm a big Panthers fan but for some reason the excitement level is not quite the same.

live close to charlotte and went to a lot of games. But clemson is my number one team, maybe because I'm a student? I'm very excited and nervous for the super bowl but no where close as I was for the national championship.

I am excited that the Broncos are in it again! Not the Panthers.
It comes no where near the excitement of our Tigers playing for the Natty though.
I will say this as confident as I was that our Tigers could play with and beat Bama, I am not confident that the Broncos offense can do enough to win. Unfortunately I think the Panthers win.

Panthers have always been my favorite NFL team. Due to the emotional roller coaster of this season and blowing the national championship I am kindof over football for a few months. Will watch the game and hope Panthers pull it out but not near excitement level I was for the Natty.

My brother in law is from Racine, WI and most of the legit homegrown Packer fans breathe and die Packers football like most do Clemson football around here.

parts of the country people take pro football just as seriously as we take college football. He's a doofus, but Mike Greenberg is just as passionate about the Jets as any Clemson fan is about the Tigers. Green Bay fans are insane about the Packers. There are tons of extremely hardcore Eagles, Giants, Jets, Ravens, etc fans out there.

I'm pulling for Peyton.
I have never cared for the Panthers,or Cam Newton.
Not saying the Panthers don't deserve to be in Super Bowl 50.
They do,they earned it.Just not pulling for them this game.
Now,if they were playing the Patriots,and Tom Brady,I'd drive down to my nearest
K-Mart and buy the cheapest Panther t-shirt they had.
Funny how you can pull against a team when they play somebody you like but
pull for them when they play somedody you don't.

Go Panthers. As for those too stupid to pull for the Panthers read the topic heading. It's cootish to make comments in this thread if you are not a Panther fan.
No, I am not as excited about the Super Bowl as I was for the NC. Clemson will always be number one. I have yet to watch a replay of the NC game after getting back from Phoenix.
Of course, I am still hating on the Patriots from 2005.

Not even close, and I've been fortunate enough to cover several Panthers games this year for work. It's exciting and great for the city of Charlotte, but it's just not the same as Clemson going. I want them to win and I want to see a championship here, but I would trade it for multiple winless seasons if it meant a Clemson natty.
