He use to say the same about georgia and fsu. And now he's saying it about Clemson. Getting sick of this. If we lose to OSU it's going to be a long year.

We played FSU while Carolina played neither of the national

Championship contenders. Also your boys lost to a very mediocre, unranked Tennessee, and Georgia dogged you. We beat them btw. Vandy barely squeezed out a win over Wake so they obviously weren't very good and your coots squeaked out a win against an awful Florida team that was using their third team, that's right, third team quarterback. You beat a bad Arkansas team and you did beat us but only after we turned the ball over SIX times did u finally pull away late in the fourth quarter in a game the coots had fewer offensive yards and enjoyed the home field advantage. Then too you did beat powerhouses SC State and Coastal at home However many objective views have noted we (Clemson) really kind of handed the game to you. Your coots did have one respectful win though over Missouri so ill give you props on that one. Obvious point here is your schedule was pretty light so I wouldn't use that as a topic for debate.

You make some good points. They were lucky to win about 4 of the games they won. Missouri should have beaten them. Florida should have beaten them. Central Florida should have beaten them and I think there are a couple of more. And of course had we not turned the ball over 6 times we would have blown them out. They honestly were not that good a team. Their defense couldn't stop a good high school running game. It's really ashamed we had so many turnovers and let them win because our defense really played very well. The SEC leading rusher got 22 yards and we held them to their lowest total yards of the year. Or second lowest maybe.

Please, just stop. This fan base just looks stupid using this child-like logic. Call me what you want but I will say it. The coots are a better football team. Spurrier would probably have at least a couple ACC championships in his trophy case had he been coaching us instead of Dabo. And he would not have lost to the coots five consecutive times either.

Just like Slurrier did before FSU took his AS$ to the wood shed...The bowl selection folk are being favorable to him to retire. They keep inviting him and his teams to bowl games they feel he should win. But if the Baggers QB hadn't went out of the game when he did, Slurrier would have got beat. It reminded me of the Fla game without a QB. They had an open date before Fla and UCF, and barely got out with the win.

Seriously? I guess being the 2nd best team in the A-SHE-SHE will get you playing in a BCS game, so congratulations on that MAJOR accomplishment.... Had you played in a real conference, and you know what I speak of, a 6th place finish might get your cheerleader a view from a beach further north in Jax.

Like the real UGA and real Tenn that beat you. And like the real LSU that beat you the year before. I know this just chaps your AS$. All you coots should play the lottery, b/c luck has gotten you through the season. Shaw has been your biggest savior. Your absolute savior. Y'all we be a 7/5 next year. You will lose to UGA, AuBum, Tenn, Mizzo, and Clemson.

I've got an idea, let's brag about a conference that we have never won and noone wants us to be apart of! Georgia fan quote,"No, noone respects them in this conference. They are he most delusional fanbase in the SEC and the way they pull for everyone else to win a national championship is laugable. I could care less about the SEC, I am a Georgia fan."

whether we choose to admit it or not, Dabo's rant has resonated with the coots... the whole it's not a rivalry, it's domination thing has gotten their attention.... maybe the same way the 56-20 thing in the 70's woke us up...
if Dabo is gonna talk the talk.. he needs to walk the walk and figure out a way to beat usuc.... they may not have posters up about beating Clemson any more but I bet you they play the video clip of Dabo the week before our game every year.

The fact is the Capital One Bowl win was not bigger than the Clemson win to USC....
and Clemson would much rather beat USC than beat Ohio St in the Orange Bowl.
If you don't agree with this, you are not to knowledgeable or just in denial.

It's funny how Clemson lives rent free inside his head. ROFL!! That's the reason South Carolina will never win a SEC championship and therefore anything greater either. They will always live for their "super bowl" against Clemson and nothing else. No wonder about 95% of their fans are so miserable.

You honestly think they are miserable after 5 in a row, 3 straight 11 win seasons. We are the miserable ones. We sound like Coots did 5+ years ago. Wait til next year, wait til next year. Ridiculous how some of you people twists things. What we need to do is starting beating their #### again.

Spurrier is smart to drum up his fan base. Suck it up.
Jan 1, 2014, 5:44 PM
|
|
SCar hired a smart, Heisman winning, HOF, national championship coach who built a crappy program into a top tier program that owns Clemson despite having comparable or slightly inferior player-talent. Clemson hired an inexperienced WR coach who took a good, full-cupboard Clemson team and turned them into arguably a slightly better team though it's hard to say since for the last 3 years the ACC has been historically weak (weaker than ever) according to Sagarin.
Spurrier is clearly a superior coach and he knows how to drum up support from his fans. You reap what you sow.

i am guessing dabo would have as good a chance of winning the sec as superior. his chance is slim and none. you just went through a period where florida uga and tenn. were at their worst in a loooooooong time and the only time you sneak in to the title game you had a 5-3 record. and we all remember how that game turned out. you guys enjoy whipping us while you can because that is the only thing you have to hang your hat on. by the way, congrats on beating a top 20 team, #19 wisconsin, for the first time in your history. oh wait, history is only 5 years long in cootervile.

Obviously Dabo would have EVEN LESS chance of winning SEC.
Jan 2, 2014, 3:28 PM

If Dabo gets his butt whupped by Spurrier for 5 years straight, and Spurrier can't win the SEC, then I think it's obvious that Dabo would have even less chance of winning the SEC than Spurrier. I say that as a Clemson fan who is simply facing the reality of the current situation. SCar hired a smart, Heisman-winning, national-championship winning, ACC-conference winning, muli-SEC conference winning, 9-time conference coach-of-the-year, HOF coach who built a perennially weak program into a top tier program that has owned Clemson for FIVE YEARS.
Clemson promoted a nobody WR coach.
Who is surprised at the shift in the in-state dominance?

It amazes me how $tupid some people on here are. You can tell by their score no one agrees with them. But they keep harping on insignificant issues. ### does the fact that we hired Dabo instead of a Spurrier have to do with anything? Every great coach had their first shot before they were proven. We gave Danny Ford that shot, btw, and it worked. Are you so ignorant that you don't know that? Are you so ego-centric that you are going to hold to that argument, despite being 100% alone in your reasoning? Time to find a new argument, Razz. Dabo has turned this program around, despite what dumba$$ ba$tards like you think.

"No one agrees" with me? My TigerPulse score of 57% indicates that more than half the readers agree with me, genius.
What does the fact that we hired an inexperienced WR coach after SCar hired a Heisman winning, ACC-confernce-winning, national championship winning, 9-time conference coach-of-the-year have to do with anything??? Uhhhh... Check the state championship results for the last 5 years. SCar is now dominant over Clemson AND a perennial SEC-East contending, 11-win top-tier team. Coaching quality doesn't matter at all? You are a football genius.
We gave Danny Ford a shot and he significantly improved the team, winning a national championship in year 3 along with a long string of ACC championships. We also gave Ken Hatfield, Tommy West, and Tommy Bowden "a shot".
According to Sagarin strength of schedule conference rankings, for the last 3 years the ACC has been historically weak and weaker than ever. So what makes you think that Dabo turned the program around rather than Dabo just benefiting from playing in a weaker conference? Dabo is 1-6 vs. non-con teams that finished in the AP Top 25 and SCar improved so much more than Clemson that they completely own us. That's my measuring stick-- not a historically weak ACC.
Instead of asking silly questions and posting juvenile, vulgar, insults, you should try posting well-reasoned, civil, adult counterpoints based on facts.
ACC’s conference SOS Sagarin rankings: 2013: Atlantic #9 (ahead of only the AAC among major conferences) Coastal #7 as of 12/1/13.* 2012: 7 2011: 7 2010: 4 2009: 4 2008: 3 TB ? DS transition. 2007: 5 2006: 5 2005: 4 2004: 2 2003: 1 2002: 1 2001: 4
*As of 2013, Sagarin only ranks divisions, not conferences.

Wow. Can't Believe I Actually Read A Post From Razz.... Swore I Never Would. I See You're Still Using Coot Logic And Coot Rational To Try And Make Your Point. History Of Past Coaches Has Nothing To Do With Our Present Or Future Coaches Or Success. Nor Does Who Your Coots Hire. Our Success Isn't Measured By Our Strength Of Schedule Or Our Win-loss Record Over One Team. It's Measured By Our Growth In # Of Wins, Conference Championships, And Shots At The NC. All Of Which We Are Achieving. So Sad You Are Such A Coot, You Can No Longer Hide It With Your Irrelevant Stats And History Lessons
Sorry Seattle Attacked You With Foul Language, But I Also Feel His Ire With You. You're A Sad Little Man Who Can't Make Valid Arguments Towards Our Success And Are Never Happy With Where This Team Is Headed. Would Hate To Be Like That.
BTW, Your Math Logic Also Needs Work. Your 57% Only Proves That OF THOSE Who THUMB YOU Up Or DOWN, you've Managed To Agree With Only 7% Of Them. It's an average of all thumbs. Genius.
((not sure why my phone capitalized almost every word... weird.))

Hardly stomped unless you call a 7 point win being stomped LOL
And to answer your question. Yes, BCS bowls and SEC Championships are our goal every year. As for the Clemson game. Spurrier treats it no differently than he does any other game on our schedule. What you call digs at Clemson is him playing to our fans. If you don't like it then do something to change it

Clowney has no business saying that unless he put in his 4yrs of eligibility. Also he wasn't really a huge factor, especially this year. Connor Shaw on the other hand...hmmm I wonder if Shaw was the starter for 4 games against the Tigers??? I know Charlie "Coot-Killa" Whitehurst was first string his freshman year, and was the only Clemson QB to start 4 and win all 4 games against the coots. Maybe other Clemson QB's did it way back when, iono?? Did Shaw start 4 and win 4 against Clemson?? I think I remember Dylan Thompson winning at least one of them these past few years...when Shaw was banged up or something?? Did Shaw start his freshman year??

Their comments just showed the college FB world how really childish and eat up with envy of us. But the college FB world really expected that from Slurrier. He doesn't have one friend in all of the college coaches. They all hate that AS$ hole as much as we do. Thay are all still laughing at him right now, and they all know he is on the edge of the same seat as Bobby Bowden, Holtz and all the rest of the O L D timers that didn't know when to just step away. South Carolina is the only team in all of college FB that will give him a pay check Not another school out there would hire him right now.

Spurrier looked like he had a massive hangover. He was shaky and looked totally brain dead. The disrespect his football team showed on the field was disgraceful. They did not respect their own alma mater, much less their opponents. If this is winning, you can have it. I did not see anything to be proud of...so typical of Carolina. Conner Shaw was the only representative of that university interviewed that showed the bowl game meant anything to them.

.....about winning a state championship (losing streak aside)? They own us right now and that is something to brag about. Back when we owned them, most years they sucked. So we did not brag after a bowl game about state championships. It is a compliment that they are so fixated on THE University in South Carolina.

South Carolina has been to 19 bowl games in their history. Clemson has won 17 bowl games in our history. We are ranked 17th all time bowl game appearances while SC is sandwiched between two traditional power houses Virginia and Navy in all-time bowl game appearances. And ranked 53rd in appearances. They are not use to winning and the last two years, especially this year, they got real lucky to beat us. The game was tied in the fourth quarter and that's after 4 turnovers. We would have blown them out had it not been for some lousy handling of the ball. And we are at the Fountainbleau in Miami Beach while they stayed at the Motel 6 in Disneyland.

You really think he chose us over Bama because he thought he had a better chance to win championships at SC? Anybody that choses South Carolina, or Clemson for that matter over Alabama, LSU, FSU, etc. is clearly looking at more than just the easiest path to a NC is.

A direct response to razz.... first off, like I said before dabo isn't throwing, running, catching, blocking, tackling,or covering recievers. Dabo didn't lose the USuCk game the players did just another day at office, though we outplayed the chickens, but we gave them an early X-mas gift wrapped in garnett and black ribbons. But it sounds to me that you're not happy with dabo or the 'state' of the football program, and you keep bringing up the fact that USuCk hired a future HOF'r and we got a guy who was a WR coach.
Does it reallly matter the background/resume of a coach? Hell.. danny ford had no HC exp. What so ever, but did nothing but build a HOF resume(what a shock he's an future HOF'r) what about les miles? Huh? Don't think he was a scholly @ michigan?... not doing to bad @ LS Who?(actually was a TE coach @ Okie state before ascending to head coach and didn't do a bad job there til he left for the bayou) how bout mike gundy(since were talking bout' those cowboys!) Former scholly qb @ OK state(but had the greatest RB in history of CFB) wasn't a HC on any level, but again isn't doing a bad job @ Okie state. Last, but, not least, love it or hate it,the best coach in CFB now nick saban played @ some Div 2 or 3 school as a DB,and look where he is now..
In 2008 (in the middle of the season) Tommy Bowden resigned as HC of our beloved tigers. Prior to tulane he had any exp as a HC or OC. Now ask yourself, razz or anybody who hasn't fully appreciate what dabo has done, in 2008 who would have you to lead clemson? Huh?. Muschamp? How he's doing @ UF right now? Fired his OC and having a 'mini' mass exodus with players leaving/transfering?(let alone getting arrested). Or how about going to the Sunshine(belt),C-USA,the MAC or the WACk Conferences and getting a 'hot' coaching candidate? Huh? How that work with TB,nothing but mediocrity at best. (That's how that stupid '##########' term came from).
Look.... do I feel horrible bout losing to the dirtpeckers 5 years in a row? You #### right I am( I work with a bunch of pathetic chickens)... but throwing dabo under the bus for it is wrong, just wrong.. and I'm waitng the day that, when we take back control of the rivalry and to do AMAZING things, that you and the rest of the fair weather fans jump back on here and praise dabo and worship th ground he walks on!!

1. He always asks for you to use facts and stats, but when you do, he won't reply, because he isn't very bright? 2. He's a coot and will never like anything about this team. 3. A bonus point.... If you read his stats and history lessons, they are accurate. Anything else he writes is nonsensical and rubbish. He's never made a point on his own....he's incapable of it.

Spurrier gave a jab to clemson, but what do you as a clemson fan think about the Dabo rant about Carolina. This is my first post here and did not know how clemson fans looked at this.....
