when they say things like, "he could grow into a TE", I generally take that as a polite way of saying he is slow.

The ultimate way to say someone is slow? Or do the short busses still top that?

There was a time when we could barely get a 3 star recruit. Happy that the young man can get a free education. We recruit at an elite level at wide receiver now. We can continue to enjoy our rivalry with the other USC with out forgetting where we came from.

This SHOULDN'T be on TigerNet. As stated before, the fact we hadn't talked to him in months says it all. No slam on the kid, I'm sure he's a good kid, but we backed off for a reason, most likely because we have better options... It's good to be a Tiger these days! Coots get our leftovers!

Hearing about kids from this state doing well in their lives , having a chance to take that next step in realization of a dream . This is not about Clemson vs SCar , it is about a kid that we had some interest in getting a chance. Nothing wrong with that . Good luck to this young guy.

still, SCAR provides an excellent opportunity for "fallback" level prospects to play in the SEC.

Would you pick Clemson with Cain, McCloud, Chase, Scott, Bell, etc. etc. in front of you?

I understand wanting to stay close to home, but when your #1 choice no longer pursues you, that is no need to commit to SCAR. That is like the homecoming queen turning you down, so you start dating the dropout.
Dude, there are other good schools kind of close.... Oh well.

They have to keep up with the coot recruits also after they have welcomed so many of them to T-Net. I've said it before, and I will say it again, Crump and B Meist are after all cash no matter who its from. Tiger Net is just a front name. And its open for all SC schools, and not just for Clemson. We don't have a Clemson board just for Clemson, and the coots know that well by now. To them, T-Net is like FGF in the up state!!!

Want championships? Land Scott,Cain, and Chase. Not Edwards.

Simple as that. Sure he's a good athlete. But why settle for Bronze when you can get Gold in TJ Chase...
The difference lately is Clemson gets those kids you hear about- are the real deal- and we know can play. scar get those players you hear about that might project well at the next level if they continue to grow and get coached up.....
We're in the elite position where we can choose our 3rd receiver if we take one. I'd have to assume that player would be Diondre Overton. To most teams a guy like Overton is a complete game changer, because he is. However we are fortunate enough to where a guy the caliber of Overton is not necessarily a take. Nonetheless I sure hope we do take him.

Well, the article also says South Carolina was his first offer as a high school freshman. So maybe that stuck with him. I understand not having communication for months sends a certain message, but the phone works both ways.
