He seems to explode through the ball carrier, especially when it is a straight on run. Even when he has to take an angle, though, he still delivers a pretty good blow, and he never misses a tackle. I like the film of him as a LB. He's about the same size as Anthony, and as another stellar LB who played for GT and then a long career for the Falcons, Kieth Brookings, I believe was his name. Great player!

That's a really good sign so far! This would be a huge get for a smaller class. Recruiting him the hardest and the best visit, sounds good to me. #ALLIN #Clemson doesn't hurt either. TigerNation would welcome you aboard Mr. Smith!

Seems like that's the selling point in this 2016 class. I've heard earlier where TJ Chase said the staff told them they were done with WR. I sure hope not because my top choice is Overton. But I can see us getting our pick of elite talent at areas of need for this class even though it'll be small.

Now we need to work on getting 5-star 6'8 (Rochester)and his family on campus for a visit. These to players could really add an enchancement to Clemson young defense. Then get 6'8 (Prince) work in progress on campus for a visit. Our coaches will have our defense back to number one in no time.

Next year's class is going to be one of those USC trojan-like classes where there are like 15 or 16 commits but they are all high 4 to 5 star prospects. USC jr. and ESECpn are not going to like this. Not at all

That would have been pretty cool to meet the President of the university before setting foot on campus day one. I wish I had that opportunity, however, I had already made up my mind about Clemson before starting 12th grade!

When Ben and Roy were harping on jayron kearse eventually becoming a lb. I asked what was wrong with him just being a big bodied, dominant safety and they jumped on me and talked for 30 min about how ridiculous that was. Btw, have u seen kearse lined up in the front 7 lately?? Me either, lol

Smith is from Maryland but transferred to IMG Academy, a private school in Florida, for his senior season. IMG Academy is also where a number of highly ranked prospects call "home". TJ Chase, one of our 2016 commitments, attends IMG.
President Clements is from Maryland.

He's basically the perfect size to be a big full sized LB or beef up a bit to be a DE. I would think there are 3 major factors.
*What he wants to play
*How good he is at shedding linemen
*How much he grows
As a junior he probably has some growing left to do. If he's 6-5 he will be a DE. If he doesn't he will likely be a LB though he could still be used to replace what Vic did for us this year.
