wanted to know why we would offer some kid who only rushed for 342 yards- until I pointed out that it was 342 yards in just the State Championship game.

I saw the game and this young man was a beast. When the game was on the line he ripped off a 48 yd. TD to put his team ahead for good. The other team knew what was coming and it didn't matter, they had no answer for stopping him. Really glad to get this one!

And we are robbing it all. Seriously might get the top 4 recruits from the state. Higgins is ours to loose and OL Trey Smith is high on us as well. This is the biggest batch of talent from Tennessee in a long time. Love getting back at the Vols from when they used to rob our state in the 90s

For those who don't remember, this guy is from Trezevant HS in Memphis, which is the same HS that Albert Means played for. Means was recruited to Alabama and Bammer got the hammer because of that. Means ended up playing for U of Memphis, but I never heard all that much from him after that.
It's interesting that THS is relevant again with big-time players like Richardson after THS fired their coaches over the Means incident. I don't think all the truth about that recruitment will ever be revealed in our lifetime.
Glad to hear things are getting back to normal in Memphis at THS.

Living in Memphis I can tell you it's sketchy anytime you recruit kids here. Football isn't nearly as bad as basketball but I can tell you at most of the city schools you have to get through the coaches before you get to the player. There is a story of an acc basketball coach who came to Memphis to recruit snd left after one day because he was basically laughed out of coaches offices. I'm not saying with this kid it's true but for the most part the only thing that's changed is they got better at hiding it. I've heard a helluva lot of stories from people around here including people directly involved with the Albert situation. This kid is a stud and a great player though and I hope he works out and fits in with no trouble.

With the camp circuit and social media you can circumvent these kids' handlers (coaches/parents/"concerned relatives) a lot better than you used to. Pretty sure we got to Cordarrian through other prospects.

Kid is a great prospect for our system - well, any system really. Not exceptional speed but certainly very good, displays excellent technique and core strength, and has good hands and instincts. Potential to be a great blocker. Bama wanted him as a perfect fit for their system; always nice to win one of those battles.

This is my prayers being answered from when we loss Todd Gurley to UGA when we thought we would get him bc UGA had Keith Marshall. Hopefully Richardson will be as good as Gurley, but without the injuries!!! Prayers get answered I guess by the urgency!!!

I expected only one RB in this class and i think we got the perfect one. Another thunder & lightning imo with him and Feaster. The studs we're bringing in at OL, QB, RB and WR just makes me believe this offense is going to be explosive for years to come. The only thing im worried about is when elite prospects like this commit early. It seems to be a challenge to get some of these kids not to take visits to other schools when they are constantly recruiting you, we've had to deal with that situation a lot with former recruits the past few years. I hope he sticks with us bc he will no doubt be a stud in this offense
