How in God's name are our coaches dumb enough not to put the QB under center on our own 2 yd line with 15 seconds left and both teams out of timeouts. High school coaches know that much.

we never go under center in short (have to have it) yardage. It drives me nuts

Right you are. And that wasn't even a "have to have it" situation. It was just a
put the ball in play without getting caught behind the line of scrimmage. It was even stupider considering how porous our O-line is.

Idiotic decision, and if they say what they did years ago when we lost a game against FSU that we should have won, we don't practice it. Change your practice routine they had an hour and 53 minutes that they could have worked on it.

that would require practicing situational football and making them do something different. maybe it's easier to do that handoff and "fake throw" thing that we did a half dozen times last night and seemed to cause GT fits of confusion
