Food/Bars in Clemson

Sep 7, 2015, 6:38 PM

Hey guys, I know these types of posts are obnoxious but I figured those with some first hand knowledge would be the best to ask. We've got a group of about six college aged guys coming down and desperately need to know where we should be going to: A) grab some food after the game, and B) go out afterwards. Any help appreciated. Good luck to you guys and let's hope for a tight one!

If I was in town for one meal I would probably grab wings from backstreets. When you go out, all the bars are on one street so just park in the parking garage on college ave and bar hop all night.

Food after the game can be tough. Clemson is a smaller town than Boone, and a lot of people hit up downtown and the esso after these early games and it can get pretty busy. However due to traffic you may want to stay near the stadium which would be esso or any of the many fine establishments downtown. If you are willing to venture out aways the publix shopping center has a mcalisters, a red bowl Asian place, and WayBack burgers which is awesome. As far as bars, downtown is the place. Clemson really's downtown really is pretty much a single street. You won't find parking there, best to leave your car where you tailgates and get it after dinner/bars if you have a dd. In some lots it's safe to leave it overnight and get it in the morning

Esso has limited food service on game days. Fortunately, that menu includes their awesome chicken tenders! It's a good place to start for food and beers after the game. They will most likely have live music playing and you will be able to catch scores and other games. Esso is a place you don't want to miss. Afterwards, you can walk towards College Avenue to the bars Downtown. I second the suggestion of leaving your car parked. Walking will be much faster and you will get to enjoy the game day atmosphere that makes Clemson such a great place to visit.

Pizza - Todaro's

Bar Food - TD's or Tiger Town Tavern
Beer - Nick's

Those are my favorites.

There's something in these hills.
