Aight, I'm flushing the L, learning, and moving on. 17-24 year olds performance shouldn't affect me, right?!? Ugh.
That being said, do y'all remember the Pitt game in 2016? https://www.espn.com/college-football/game/_/gameId/400869485/pitt-clemson
43-42 loss where we played like crumbs. My buddies and me sat in the student section and felt at a total loss.
Luckily for us, just about everybody and their sister lost that weekend.
We made the playoff. We went on to do some good things that year  "> (56-7 vs lil bro, beating bama in the Natty etc.).
Now, things aren't the exact same - we've lost a bit more control of our destiny now but with the 12 team playoff it ain't over until the fat lady and her conference games sings.
Who knows?

Other distinct memory from that game: yelling at Todd McShay during commercial break. He turned around and waved haha.

The thing I remember most about that Pitt game was the way they ran the Utah pass play and that running back who had cancer treatments before just ran over us all day. I know BV was the DC that day but he got outcoached, surprised and dominated on the ground in that game and seemed helpless to stop it.

100%. James Conner ran train and while deshaun threw for almost 600 yards he threw those 3 pics.

Different playoff system.
Too many other teams with better records.
Two embarrassing losses compared to a close loss to Pitt back then.

I don't think this L was due to the portal/NIL directly - simply got outcoached.
Our 4 and 5stars played poorly and the gameplan put them in the wrong position to execute - specifically on special teams.

and our offensive scheme and our ability to adjust mid-game are terrible.
Louisville created a blueprint for how to beat Clemson. SCar has better talent and if they follow that blueprint, we get destroyed.

We're gonna have to see if we can learn to stop the run bc you're right. Sellers could have a field day if we can't contain / be physical with our front 4-7/8.
