Feaster update part two

I've been texting with Tavien, and he said he is still good with Clemson. And for those of you who have been worrying, let me say this: I think I will be able to run a story early next week that should settle everybody down. Just trust me on this one.

Over him visiting Tennessee. Look, i understand Tavien Feaster is a excellent RB and will automatically upgrade any college football team the moment he steps on campus but this kid is not bigger than Clemson, we will be fine without him if he does decide we aren't the best fit for him. We have good RBs already on campus, are any of them Tavien Feaster? No but the guys we have are more than capable of doing what we need them to do. We are going to do big things with or without him, its up to Feaster if he wants to be apart of something special. We can't control his decision so why worry about it? Some people are acting like if we don't get Feaster we should just go ahead and forget about winning championships. Look, we have enough talent right now to beat anyone in the country. If we do lose Feaster, i have no doubt this staff can go out and get another great RB. Some of you need to stop worrying about a 17 yr old kids decision, let him do what he wants to do.

I dont understand why everybody is so upset, it was clear that Tavien was joking around after he said Butch "was a straight shooter".

Thank goodness. For some reason Vol Nation has erupted with celebration today saying he had flipped, using terms on YT like "VOL LOCK" etc. Of course, they are idiots, but I was beginning to get concerned. Thanks for the post.

Jul 26, 2015, 7:18 PM

holding off on his announcement to think about what Swinney was telling him, with the Coot faithful just lazily twisting in the wind the whole time.
Shoe ain't fun on the other foot, I'm sure, for the more emotional of those here....
Geez people; Dalvin Cook, Robert Nkemdiche, Bud Robinson, Demare Kitt, Marlin Lane, Montravious Adams, and Chad Kelly all say "hi!".
I hope Mr. Feaster eventually just does what's best for him and his family - he's a kid and he deserves it.
As to Mr. Swinney and The Tigers, they'll be just fine too.

There had been little reason to question the strength of Tavien Feaster's commitment to Clemson.
The Spartanburg, S.C., native committed to the Tigers in February and has seldom looked around.
But, that seems to have changed after a weekend visit to Tennessee for the Vols' Orange Carpet Day.
"After this visit I most definitely have to reevaluate everything," Feaster said. "I've thought about Tennessee because when they came in the first time they recruited me they were recruiting me hard, but Clemson was selling the whole instate thing. But, now I realize they are about the same length from my house, it was like it wasn't that far. And if I go to Tennessee I can get away from home and be myself."
Feaster mentioned that Georgia is in the mix as well, but added that Clemson and Tennessee are his top two right now.
""I will most definitely give them a second look," Feaster said of the Vols.
Richt and RB Coach Thomas Brown need to get this kid to Athens....he'll look so good in red versus orange.

This is what is puzzling
Jul 27, 2015, 12:42 PM

He thinks Clemson and UT are almost the same distance from his home. Doesn't he live in Spartanburg?
“After this visit, I’ve most definitely got to reevaluate everything,” Feaster said. “I’ve got to think about Tennessee, ‘cause when they came in the first time, they was on me hard, but Clemson was selling the whole in-state thing. But when I realized Tennessee’s just almost about the same length away from my house, that was … I mean, that’s really not that far, you know? I believe that if I go to Tennessee, I can get away from home and just be myself — you know, no distractions, no nothing.” - Clemson247

Can you ask him if still plans to take future visits back to Tennessee or any other schools? Or address that in your article next week.
