I can imagine them telling the recruits that with a straight face....then quickly revert to distracting them with money... cars...and the number of SEC players that are in the NFL...... with also having the backing of a media giant ESPN

Looking at all of those schools there and how many players graduate at such a high percentage, you can only assume that the players study non-stop. No way it is set up so the classes are easier and they coast through college.

I think those statistics are misleading.

Joe Johnson enrolls in school A. After his Jr. year he transfers to school B. He is not counted as a non-graduate or a graduate regardless of whether he earns a degree at school B.
Mike Mathers enrolls in school A. After his sophomore year he decides he doesn't want to play football any longer. He drops out of school and gets a job. He is not counted against school A for graduation.
Billy Barnes enrolls in school A. After his sophomore year the coaches decide that Billy is not the athlete they thought him to be. They encourage him to transfer to school B so he can get more playing time. He is not counted against school A for graduation.
In short, graduation rates are based on the number of athletes who started their career at school A and who finished their athletic eligibility at school A vs. the number of those students who graduated.
At least, that is the way it was explained to me years ago when colleges first started being required to post graduation rates.
I do not know how transfers are counted for the schools they transfer into.
1. How was DJU counted at FSU this year? He had a degree before enrolling. But, if he leaves school without another degree earned from FSU does he count against them? If he does earn a degree does he count for them?
2. How about a kid who transfers into a school with no degree? How is he counted?

Four out of the top six are ACC schools. Impressive. I guess "it just means more" doesn't refer to academics in some places.

Well, if were being honest, most degrees aren't worth ####. Clemson or otherwise. Unless you are in a specialized field it's just a piece of paper these days.
The overwhelming majority of white collar jobs are paper pushers who provide the training you need from the role.
