The only people that should be getting tested for Covid are people that are actually showing symptoms. Because a positive PCR test does not mean you have Covid. It’s older people and people at high risk that are supposed to get the vaccine first remember? High-risk people get the vaccine first to save their lives? Does that sound familiar?
So if this many people in a high-risk group are still getting Covid after being fully vaccinated then the vaccine doesn’t work as advertised.

Tardog It is difficult to trust the numbers in a small sample especially if all the information is not provided. So I have a few questions for you. How many people in your world? How many
were vaccinated? In theory, I can figure out how many were sick, but tell me just to be sure. Can you confirm that all unvaccinated people were not sick? I got that you were unvaccinated, but it was not clear if you were sick. Does being sick mean you had covid-19 or you had syptoms? You said only one person in that group has not been vaccinated, but it sounds like you and your granddaughter were unvaccinated. Or does having covid-19 at some point mean you have been vaccinated in your sample? If so, how many other people in your sample qualify this way? And finally, do you know if any the of the vaccinated sick people got covid-19 from you?

I currently know 9 who have covid. 8 of the 9 have been fully vaccinated. Their symptoms range from very mild to life threatening. I know one unvaccinated person (granddaughter) who has covid. She has very mild symptoms. You asked if any could have gotten covid from me? No, I do not have covid and were not around the others in the past couple weeks or more.

I agree Tardog. That is what the data is showing. Locally, the terminology is changing from vaccinated to immunized. You can be immunized from the vaccine or contracting the virus. Natural immunization is proving to be as effective (or more) as the vaccine in avoiding the hospital and morgue. Is the ACC allowing players with natural immunization to be counted in the 85%?

So if you were infected 6-8 months ago you may not have that natural immunity any more.
wrong as usual from your crowd. got the dreaded in december and still had natural immunity at the end of june when i gave blood. and many doctors that are not politicians say natural immunity is 7 times greater than the almighty vaccine. and could last forever. so please just find another narrative.

They really do need another narrative. They claim natural immunity does not last long. Sorry, but that’s not how the body works. The body produces memory cells to be stored and then activated at future exposure to viruses that attacked us. These memory cells were found in survivors of the 1918 flu many decades afterwards. I’m confident in natural immunity.

6 months? Certainly not forever, and probably not even a year. There are numerous instances of people getting covid the 2nd and even a third time!
The best protection you'll get is a combination of being vaccinated, AND getting covid! I was vaccinated in February, got covid last week, with very mild symptoms! Along with taking ivermectin, I feel like I'm pretty well protected now!

It would lesson the chances of a forfeit. Vaccinated players are not subject to weekly testing. They are only tested if symptomatic and then, if positive, do not have to quarantine but wear a mask. I would post this but I’m technically challenged. Google NCAA Covid testing released August 3.

My bad! If the player tests positive, whether vaccinated or unvaccinated, he must quarantine for 14 days or 10 days with a negative test in the 10th day. I do think the more vaccinated players we have, the less chance if a forfeit. Frankly, just as last year, they are more likely to get exposed at social events or classes than practice, IMHO.

I was vaccinated in February and March. Tested positive for Covid two weeks ago. Same story with my wife. I’m not saying that the vaccine is not helpful but if you think it’s foolproof it’s not.

I actually know people who took the vaccine ,caught covid and ended up on a ventilator. One is getting some better , the other will likely not survive. Everyone take the vaccine if and only if it’s your choice. But don’t think you can’t get sick and possibly die even if vaccinated. It’s time to stop bashing people who make individual free choices.

I got the Moderna vaccine, but enhance it with Woodford Reserve and Macallan 12 on alternating days. So far the enhancements have worked.
