That’s a crock! Alabama has a loss and almost lost to SC. Tennessee is still ranked high and they lost to Arkansas and took overtime with Florida. I am glad the polls mean nothing

They're undefeated with multiple wins over teams with winning records. We're a one loss team and as of right now no one we've beaten is better than 3-4.

Look at all the love they're still showing to Bama, unranked coots had them scared throughout the entire game until the coots threw an INT late in the 3d quarter...

That's what Dabo has said since he ecame our HC, just keep winning and everything else will take care of itself. I always believed that until I saw what they done to FSU last season. They turned their back on every rule they had made to keep FSU out of the playoffs!!!

Lol
Iowa State & LSU jumped our Tigers
What a complete load of garbage. Absolute f’ing idiots voting. LSU get fortunate home win, Iowa State wins by less than 2 TD’s and somehow Clemson smoking WF by 5 TD’s means nothing.
Why f’ing play these stupid games when it all meaningless to any idiot voting

It is a sham and it is like our 1 loss to a good #1 ranked UGA at the time is following us the whole season. Are they trying to penalize us for that? Inquiring minds want to know.

It's almost like they really don't think much of uga, but we know they do, since they are are member of the homer conference. A loss by anyone in that conference doesn't seem to count as negatively as a loss by a team in any other conference.

LSU and Iowa st. Have better wins than we do and Iowa st is undefeated. We have beaten awful teams. The only team we faced with a pulse dominated us. I believe we are better now than we played against UGA but we are lucky to be in the top 10

Iowa State was undefeated last week also. Why weren't they higher than us last week? Was their 12 point win over Iowa that much more impressive than a 35 point win over Wake?
I'll hold my breath for an answer fully expecting to gasp rather than get one.

I agree. I think LSU vaulted a little too far up the rankings, but thats what they do to the EsecPN teams it seems. Ole Miss was already ranked too high, so was Bama and Tennessee. Its crazy how biased these polls are week in and week out.
Either way, we keep winning, and it will all take care of itself. I don't really care where they rank us as long as we win the ACC and get that 3 seed. That's all that really matters.

I like the way you think, but our wins don't count as highly as secheat team's wins, even when they beat an everyday nobody, nor do their losses count as badly for them. I should be used to it, but it still pizzes me off.

That’s why I asked a couple of weeks ago. What is our poll ceiling even with no more losses because our schedule is so weak. Need Pitt Coots and Lville to win.

He’s saying there possibly could be 3 undefeated teams (Clemson, Miami, SMU). One would be out, but that would be SMU imho.

At the most basic level, the teams with the two best winning percentages in conference play will play on the first weekend of December in Charlotte, North Carolina at the Bank of America Stadium for the ACC title.
In the case of a two-team tie for the second-best winning percentage, the first move is to turn to head-to-head competition, with the winner of that game holding the advantage. If there was no head-to-head competition, the next determinant is winning percentage against all common opponents. Then it moves to win percentage against common opponents with the added caveat of order of finish in the conference, beginning with the highest-seeded common opponents and moving downward in order of the standings. The fourth step is to factor in the combined winning percentage of a team's conference opponent, with the team who faced the better opponents gaining the advantage.
After that, the league will factor in details not settled on the field. The fifth step will be for third-party SportSource Analytics to determine a Team Rating Score at the conclusion of regular season play and the team with a higher score will advance to the Championship Game. If all else fails, the commissioner of the league chooses the advancing team at random.
If three or more teams are tied for the best record in the league, the first step is to determine a top seed. The league will do that first by considering head-to-head win percentage against all other tied teams if they are common opponents. Next, the tiebreaker becomes win percentage against all common opponents and continues through the same procedures as the two-team ties, all the way down to the random draw from the commissioner. This process proceeds until there are two teams determined to be the top two seeds.

Except as a starting point AP and Coaches polls are really just for TV hype... they have zero impact on the CFP rankings...
I personally like the Bleacher Report rankings, those guys actually put some thought into their rankings...

Let 'em hang around 14 down, so that they can possibly score a TD and then try an onside kick to take a last drive and tie it up.
Same ole crap that got us beat or almost got us beat by worse teams in the past.
