Nobody wants to see Kelly fail but we have seen this very similar scenario play out many times in the last 15 years. A bench player following a great finally gets his shot and it hasn't exactly worked out. Willie Simmons, Will Proctor, Cole and now Bryant. I'll be rooting like hell if Kelly is the starter but we can't deny we haven't seen this movie before.
I belong in the group that believes at least one of the talented QBs on campus will step up and take control of the offense.

It's not that I don't believe in Kelly Bryant. I just don't think he's the passer that cooper or Johnson is. I think 9-3 to 10-2 is possible with Kelly bryant. While I believe 11-1 to 12-0 is possible with hunter Johnson or zerrick cooper. I mean you can't expect to make the playoffs playing in a phone booth. Cause you can't hit the deep balls. And struggle passing. We need to be able to stretch the field and play every inch of it.

with the "if you don't believe what I believe you're a fool" mantra. Posts like this are such a waste of time.
How about the people who want to see KB play before they form an opinion? Do they need to agree that KB is gonna be the answer, or do we also need to pick a side before we even have a sample-size to make a rational opinion?
Because right now, everybody is just guessing (including you).

The small sample I've seen he's not a Clemson qb but a great athlete that can help us in another way.I think Cooper and Johnson should be getting the majority of reps.Every scrimmage seems like he struggles in the passing game.

He can throw at least as well as Rodney Williams.

Rodney made "good decisions". But comparing the two teams they were on is apples and oranges. We were geared to run the option a lot. We have too much talent at WR and CFB is just so much different nowadays. Man I loved Rodney. He was money running that option and floated quite a few over the top when the defense had to sellout for our power running game. #80'sTigerPride

Not sure what to say here. As a Clemson fan, I want our team and therefore our players to be successful (obviously).
Our coaches now have a track record of consistently putting a BCS caliber team on the field, so based on that track record and the talent available I don't see that changing this year.
As far as Kelly Bryant, I simply haven't seen anything recent from which to form an opinion on his progression, so I have to go with that of others who have and whom I trust (see above).
What I've seen from Kelly Bryant as a Fr and Soph is a qb that seems to struggle as a passer. If that's what we have to roll with now I'm afraid the team would resemble what it did in 2014 without Watson available at qb.
There is a quote that is something like "a wise man proportions his belief to the evidence." So without much evidence to go on I have hope.

I'm saying I'm afraid the games would look like they did in 2014 without Deshaun (sans Okie) based on what I've seen from Bryant so far. We still won some low scoring games, but those were brutal nail biters
Regardless, it would not get there this year because we have more qb options than in 2014, just none that are proven.

To be honest, I've yet to see KB complete a pass for more than 15 yards. However, I'm not willing to write him off just yet. I would like to see him in a full game situation. Let's see how he responds to pressure. From what I gather, KB was assigned small roles during his limited action, and not because he can't throw the ball either. His high school football records reflect a different story in regards to his passing ability. Besides, all we need at this point is a solid Offensive Line, Solid Running Backs, a couple of good TIght Ends, and a nasty defense and we go undefeated.
