Every pass play break down

First Drive: 1. Horrible at the feet of Mafah on 1st & 10. HUGE mistake by CK. If he would of caught it, he would have probably made 10 yards.... defense was right there by the time he caught it and turned up field. 2. 5 yard pass to Brinny on the right hash called back by Randall’s illegal motion on 2nd & 10 3. 5 yard pass to Brinny dropped in the middle of the field on 2nd and 15 (Dropped pass in the hands) 4. 3rd & 15 – free play d/t UGA offsides. I think this is a huge mistake by CK. It’s a free play and he tries to run and takes an unnecessary huge hit. 5. 3rd & 10. Check down to Mafah in the right flat for no gain.
Second Drive: 6. 2nd & 7 threw the ball away after holding it and looking downfield. Good movement around the pocket buying time for receivers to get open. 7. 3rd & 7: Good low ball for 6 yards to Williams. Great catch, but one yard short of the first down
Third Drive: 1st & 10: Beautiful 35 yard pass to AW on the left sideline 2nd & 11: 2 yd pass to Brinny on the left flat tackled immediately 3rd & 9: 10 yard pass to AW just left of the left hash for 14 yards, but called back b/c Randall forgot how to line up after being in this offense for 4 years (personal commentary on Randall…. Every year it is how good he is and I have yet to see any proof of that on Saturdays). 3rd & 14: WR screen to AW to the left for zero yards
Forth Drive: 2nd & 8: Check down to Mafah in right flat 5 yards behind the LOS for 5 yard loss. CK should have never thrown this ball 3rd & 12: Nice out route to AW one yard shy of the first down. That’s on AW for poor route running.
Fifth drive: 2nd & 3: The Cole Turner, I forgot to run my route play. It was there. A bit inside with the safety coming over the top, but if Cole would have finished the play, it was a good ball 45 yards down field inside of the right hash. CK should have released it much sooner so the safety wouldn’t have time to come over the top, and the ball could have been more towards the sideline, but a good ball. 3rd & 3: 30 yard attempt to Randall along the right sideline. It is underthrown, and my dislike of Randall will show, but he showed no fight to go back for it. Had he attempted to, I believe this would have easily been a PI.
Sixth drive: 2nd & 6: WR screen to R to Cole Turner for 2 yards 3rd and 5: CK scrambled right and made an excellent pitch and catch to Brinny for 13 yards. 2nd & 6: 6 yard pass to AW on the left sideline on an out route from the right hash for 10 yards and first down 2nd & 7: CK rolling right to Brinny on a 5 yard drag route 2nd & goal: QB keeper to the right for loss of 4 yards. Sadler pulling right whiffed on the DE. 3rd and goal: Beautiful fade route to AW to the left corner of the end zone that would have been a TD if AW was looking for the ball.
Seventh drive: 3rd & 1: CK kept it on a zone read that was blown up for a loss of 1 yard. Brinny completely whiffed on his block on the weak side
8th drive: 1st & 10: WR screen to Brown for 3 yards to right side 2nd & 7: 7 yard pass to Brown in the middle of the field for what should have been a first down, but Brown lost a yard trying to add more yards. Mafah got it next play. 1st & 10: 12 yard sack. Dabo said it was on CK, but the first guy to hit him was Blake Miller’s guy #11. #24 came free from the left side and I think CK was rolling right to avoid 24, but 11 was there first and that was miller’s guy. First sack on CK of the game. You can't blame the OT though when a QB is running around 12 yards behind the LOS. Cade should have gotten rid of it. 2nd & 22: 10 yard out route to Turner that was way over his head. He was wide open. 3rd & 22: CK keeper for loss of 2 on called QB run
9th drive (down 27-3) 1st & 10: 15 yard out route to Brown to left sideline complete. Great route and throw 1st & 10: 40 yard go route to Brown on right sideline intercepted by #24
10th drive (down 34-3) 1st & 10: 7 yard slant to AW to the left in between the hash marks for 11 yards 2nd & 4: 4 yard hook route to 11 Westco or first down 1st & 10: 50 yard go route to Brown on CK rolling right incomplete. CK was hit when he threw it, but it was underthrown. Brown was behind the safety and corner. 2nd & 10: 30 yard go route to Turner with PI call 1st & 10: 7 yard come back route to Moore on right sideline. 1st & 10: Incomplete to Moore on right sideline 15 yards down field on comeback route with flag for defensive holding 1st & 10: Throw to back up TE in right flat behind the LOS for 5 yards 3rd & 6: CK threw it away. Plenty of time to look but assuming nothing open 4th & 6: 4 yard slant to Turner on the right and it hit him in the hands falling incomplete…. That is all on Turner

A bunch of receivers running routes in the same area. This allows the defense to collapse. We are not spreading out creating 1vs1 matchups.

Yup, the Turner deep ball has 3 guys run deep… 2 to the back right corner
Not that I know jack about play calling, but some either ran the wrong route or it wasn’t a good play design
Also our guy didn’t look for the ball

This is great too.
Question, what’s your take on 50 yard go route during the 10th drive? People have been trying to use that play to say that CK has a weak arm. After rewatching I just don’t see it… I mean he threw it 50 yards as he was about to be hit.

He got murdered on that throw.... Maybe he could have released it earlier. Brown was wide open and if he could have thrown it 5 more yards or a half second earlier, it was there in my opinion. Watching the video again, CK could have let it go earlier. Brown was wide open and behind the coverage. The play is at 8:38 in the video.

CK always holds the ball too long when he tries to look downfield. Always. He just doesn't anticipate things the way a P5 QB should.

Yup, good call…
Just rewatched and maybe he was looking to Sapp first, that or maybe he just didn’t see Brown, but you’re right, if he throws that ball before he gets outside the right hash, Brown is wide open

Once again loss isn’t on Cade. But he just doesn’t have that It factor period. When you have a good qb you almost feel like your never out of it with Cade you begin to feel like your out of it if your down by 10. We can and probably will win 9-10 games with Cade and this play calling just because the ACC is so bad. And then you will hear Dabo ramble something off about how his team never quit and another 10 win season although in an abysmal conference (just calling it what it is). Then we may sneak into the playoffs and then we will get beat by a much better team that isn’t afraid to hurt peoples feelings and has a much better scheme and Qb. If Clemson is happy with winning 9-10 games a year and winning the ACC some years than the way Dabo is doing it will work just fine. But if we are ever going to get back to competing on a national stage we have got to modernized our approach. That starts with a better Qb and playvallo

A mix of issues

Great analysis that really shows how the offense overall is one unit. When you show it like this you really get a sense of collectively just breaking down. If it’s not the WR it is the QB or the play call or routes. It really shows on about half of plays it had errors: either by WR, QB, etc and regardless ended up in a blown play and missed chance. It helps to understand when Dabo says missed opportunities early on about half of them a player made mistake that resulted in a momentum killer. You really show how the ability to build momentum offensively is occurring. Not just the QB but WR or penalties or bad routes or poor decisions or confusing play calls. Together just a mess and I hope it improves immediately. Thanks again!

The entire offense just looks like they are snake but and can't .make the easy plays much less the really tough ones. They come out tight make stupid mistakes bad early throws penalties bad route sack by missed ol assignment bad QB choice etc etc etc etc so that we either give a less talented team confidence to make it a 4 qtr game (and maybe loss) or we dig a hole too large to get out of (against better/equal talented teams. Really has been like this since the last game with UGA.
