He is using antagonistic rhetoric against Denmark about taking Greenland.
Denmark is an Ally, by the way. If the use of Greenland was truly needed for national security and we asked them, they’d probably say go ahead and use what you want.
The rhetoric today is…I’m sorry to say…purely imperialistic.
Never thought I’d see that.
Regarding Panama, he says that we pay more than other countries to use it and that China basically owns it, but I have seen no evidence of either claim.
Canada has been a truly great neighbor for centuries. To demean them with this 51st state commentary is pathetic.
It’s all really, really embarrassing in my opinion.

And how does that relate to our President-elect insinuating that failure if Denmark to sell a land they’ve controlled for hundreds of years to us could result in huge tariffs and possible military intervention? Or failure of Panama to give us control of the Canal will result in possible military take over? Or the different cost levels for ships in the Canal? Or how he is defining China’s ownership of the Canal? Or Canada’s sovereignty?

That's fine, but the topic is what Trump DID do, which was stand in front of the press and tell them that he cannot rule out military intervention against DENMARK...and that he would impose 100% tariffs on them...if they didn't make a deal with him to sell him Greenland. Even if he doesn't do it, it is embarrassing that our leader is threatening allies in such a manner. And it is blatantly imperialistic.
If you think we should be talking about, start threads about them. If people want to talk about them they'll join you. But otherwise, don't hijack other threads just because you've decided that we should talk about other things.
