I've been saying it all year. This rule is going to cost some teams games this year. Imagine you are driving down for the winning score with 10 secs left, the QB gets sacked and the opposing team piles on and rips the helmet off of the QB. The starting QB then has to leave for the final play of the game and the second string QB comes in and botches the final play and loses the game. Its gonna happen and a lot of controversy will follow..

In this situation it's actually an even worse deal for the offense because there would also be a 10 second runoff ending the game entirely.

I believe in the final 30 secs defense has option to run ten secs off clock
