Bergdahl - "the deal" aside, what do you expect next?

Setting aside the appropriateness of the exchange of prisoners, what do you guys think happens next? The man has been locked up (or at the very least resided with) with the Taliban for FIVE YEARS! Reportedly he's struggling with his English. Amazing to think about. What do you guys expect to happen next? Will there be a trial? I guess if he is found guilty of desertion, he'll get a much nicer prison cell than he's used to (I don't know what the punishment is for AWOL or desertion during war time)? If there is not charge or he's found innocent, do you think he'll become a public figure (write a book, speaking engagements, etc)? Or do you think he'll sneak away back to Idaho and try to stay under the radar? Or maybe some other country?

He is now a political football. He will be coddled by the left and kicked by the right.
He will never see the inside of a jail cell while Obama is in office.
Just my opinion
struggles with english my butt.
He was a Taliban sympathizer, who walked out and joined up. He gave aid and comfort to our enemy
He may have been "held" but he wasnt "captured" he surrendered.

His trial and sentencing will probably be the most lenient

for someone accused of desertion, ever.
I think everyone agrees with the idea of bringing our guys home, but the whole spin of "returning hero who served with honor" ceremony with the parents in the Rose Garden, that was just too much.
The emerging reports that the Haaqqiba faction only makes trades for money, and that there is a distinct possibility that we gave these guys money, in addition to the 5 bad guys, isn't going to make anyone feel better.

Emerging reports from...Oliver North

Of course he has no actual proof of any of this or anything else, and Newsmax isn't exactly a solid source.

I haven't heard anything about Ollie North reporting anything. This was from National Review and WSJ.
