Would be a huge loss for the Dawgs. Makes me feel a little more confident about our game next season.

I would rather a freshman play than Carson beck. Carson beck will be back and a senior.

I think Nebraska is throwing money, big money around. That fanbase and alum are chomping at the bit for a return to the glory of the past. Think about the level that program was on. Easily the #1 program of the 70s-90s. That span they won 309 of 370 games. That's a tad under 84%. They were #3 in Wins for the 70s, #1 for the 80s and #2 for the 90s. They had guys standing in line to be a "blackshirt" which was comprised of walk ons that were offered by everyone.
Now imagine going from that to what that program has become. Since Tom Osbourne retired after 1997 season, no head coach has won even 70% of their games there. How bad do you think those people want it. I'd imagine a lot of coaching staffs are tampering so it wouldn't surprise me in the least if desperate HCs are having huge sums thrown at guys they're trying to poach off other rosters. Make that double for the cream of the crop that hasn't signed an LOI.

I think his Dad or Uncle maybe played for them? Can't remember exactly. I just know my buddy who is a Nebraska fan is/was very hopeful that he ends up with them.

His dad played at Nebraska. Also, Dylan has gone to three high schools in two years. Transferred to a high school in Georgia just to be closer to Athens…. I’m sure whatever school he signs with will not be his last stop.

He was all set up to play at my daughter's high school this year after transferring from another Arizona high school. Unfortunately, they have a rule where transfers have to sit out the first 5 games and his waiver was denied so he wound up at Buford.
I would love to have gotten the chance to see him play. Incidentally, this high school is also the same one Rattler went to, and before that the QB was Brian Lewerke who started at Michigan State. Brock Purdy was at a rival high school, along with his brother who also played QB. Brett Hundley was also a QB here and one of our rivals.
We've had some good QB talent to watch through the years.

Doesn't matter where he goes. That Sloe-eyed Beck will be back and better than ever at UGA. His backup just portalled out and the new #2 will be Stockton who was a 5-star in HS and has a pro-caliber arm. I think Raiola, after he moved to Georgia, got a closer look at things at UGA and realized he probably was not going to see the field, so he took off for Nebraska, never to be heard from again.

If there was ever a program that shot themselves in the foot as far as on-field

results by switching conferences, it was Nebraska. They destroyed all their traditional rivalries, lost any semblance of continuity, and just became TOTALLY non-relevant in football.
I believe Matt Rhule is a good football coach. But, even he needs SOMETHING unusual to happen to turn the momentum around for that program. Flipping this commit might just be the catalyst he needs. Nebraska is probably hungry enough to shell out some huge NIL dollars about now, trying to recapture that past glory.
