UNC visiing UNCC

Learned earlier today UNC will play UNCC at UNCC's stadium. Very surprised UNC would visit a 15k capacity venue. The last time the Tigers played in a small stadium was 1962 vs Furman at Sirrine which also has a 15k capacity. Wake may have had a similar size in the 60s and early 70s but not sure.

and Charlotte won at home 31-28 (2021). Could you Imagine if Chapel Bill were to Lose this Game at at UNCC?? That would really hurt the College Gameday possibility, when we play them.

Is this one of those 2 for 1 home and home deals?***

Yeah like UNc was committed to creating classes for their athletes so they could get a degree. They’re committed alright.

Clearly the fascination some people have for hating the ACC is rearing its ugly head again. Lesson for today. Schools make their out of conference schedules and make them years ahead. The ACC does not schedule out of conference games or have anything to do with the contracts. Come on man.

They knew the size of the stadium when they scheduled the game. It's not like it's new information. Come on man.

College football is a business.

UNCC probably agreed to play 2 games in Chapel Hill in exchange for 1 game in Charlotte.

In college football the home team keeps the revenue from ticket sales and also holds the rights to the media.

The AD's make these deals with the ambition of earning as much money as possible.

It's Not a 2 for 1 Arrangement. It's Only a Home and Home Deal.

I'm really surprised UNC Charlotte couldn't work out a deal to play at BofA

stadium. There's a light rail that takes you right from Charlotte's campus to Uptown. Their students could easily get there and you could probably sell it out. 15k is just waaaaay too small of a stadium for an ACC Team to travel to. Hard to imagine what Chapel Hill was thinking with this one.

Sometimes good things fall apart so better things can fall together.

This is the way of the Atlantic Coast Conference. Aspire to be small-time.***
