Cause starting QB was not playing and he is a big reason they have been playing so well.

True, Cuse would have played much better on defense with their starting QB on the field.

Duke played out of their minds today. Cuse had no chance to try to keep up and make it a shootout when Angeli, who was carrying them so far this season, went out for the year.
Must’ve also been hard for them to emotionally/mentally prepare for this week without their starting QB.

I guess somehow the Duke football Blue Devils channeled the 2022 Kansas City Chiefs and we’re just unbeatable today. They are so totally unbelievably awesome that Ohio State and the entire SEC combined wouldn’t stand a chance against them. Cool excuse. As good as any other excuse I suppose.

I can see why you would think that that is the theme of the angst seeing as you’re still living in the past. But I’ll fill you in on the present and recent past: last year bore the fruit of what leadership was doing to this team and it’s still bearing fruit.
You’re up to speed now. If you look at the trends and data they should show you struggles are going to continue. If they don’t show you that, you’re probably terrible at math

The last 5 years have all been utter failures, each one of them a bad season by Dabo. Do I have it right now?

Nah. Not exactly. What I see is that you’re on one extreme side screaming about extremes to the nuts on the other side. Kinda ironic. It’s somewhere in between. But if you wanna think it’s all going swell you can. But it’s no better than those you’re slinging stones at.

Never said it’s all going swell. I’ve specifically said the team has played poorly for much of this season and the underperformance is plain. The issue is that this season is not over and Dabo still has not, as of this moment, had a bad season in his long tenure at Clemson… putting aside the very start.

I can easily deduce, with a high degree of certainty, that this team will be demonstrably worse next year if things stay the same. With a fair degree of certainty I can see a ceiling for this team this year. It is not 9-3.
Could I be wrong on one or both? Yes. We could turn it around. But I’d lay really good money on things going way worse next year. Unless things change.

How do you ensure the changes so many want don’t make us the next Nebraska? Dabo is the face of this program and built Clemson into a power that was unlike any previous shorter elite era of this program. Moving on from such a coach that has been the shaper of the whole brand will likely not be as piece of cake as some here seem to think it will be. For example, on Nebraska again, all they thought they had to do was fire Frank Solich, who was not "keeping them elite", and everything would be sunshine and roses and they’d be "elite once again". I’ve yet to hear any realistic plan for a real post-Dabo future, just some names thrown around with little reality attached.

Well if you can only see “fire Dabo” as the change the other side wants I can see why your responses are what they are.

So, to be clear, your arguememt-and that of many is- don’t change anything because the “possibility” is, it might be worse if they do? Got it. The double down is, look at what we were able to do with massive change in the past(many were against DS) and he was hired on interim basis, but the argument by many was the he wasn’t the best choice. That seemed to work out well. So why is everyone so afraid of change? What is the fear? Because you personally like someone or see them as a good person and molder of men? Why does THAT have to stop? That doesn’t have to be done by a single person right? Isn’t that the BRAND that has been created at CU? So why does changing personnel seem to be so scary? Do you not have faith in the brand? Or are you saying the brand is only one person, one man? Change as they say is constant. The paradox of change, per charles handy, is recognizing the need to change before being forced to change. It’s not personal.

The excuses from some of yall to try and minimize our awful loss to cuse is mind blowing.
With or without their QB that cuse D is bad. They almost lost to UConn with that QB as well.
Let’s add that GT struggled against Wake. After we lost to GT lots of pumpers try to sell us that GT was a playoff team.
Let’s just step back and recognize we are at the bottom of college football.

People are so f'ing stupid on here. They've deluded themselves into thinking Syracuse is a good football team, when stats prove they are not, with or without their QB.
Lost by 19 to Tennessee. Their starting QB had a 50 QBR and they allowed 500 yards of offense.
Barely beat UConn, who lost to the Delaware Blue Hens worse. Cuse's QB had a 53 QBR and they allowed 450 yards of offense.
Ran the score up on Colgate, one of the worst FCS teams. Still allowed 420 yards of offense and a bunch of points.
Dominated us. Their QB had his best week. Backup came in and wasn't demonstrably worse. We had 500 yards of offense (same as everyone else...) and many beat their chests about it.
Crushed by Duke. Their defense allowed 500 yards of offense again.
So no. Syracuse is just not a good football team. They have a horrible defense and their QB's only really good games were against us (and our terrible defense) and a horrible FCS team. We were just even worse. Duke would beat us as well right now.
