I wonder if the reason cancers went up is because people basically stopped screening in 2020 and 2021??

One would think that if excess cancer was found, it would be a certain type. Its odd that if something was an acute cause for cancer, it wouldn't be one type. like lung or pancreatic. I didn't see where the type of cancer was noted.

Just pointing out what he said. I honestly have no idea about the cancer stats. In my works I have a brother with stage 4 cancer and a niece with breast cancer both diagnosed in the past 2 years. We have zero family history of cancer on either side. Both took the vaccines and begged me to take it. I refused. Can I say the vaccines caused their cancer? Of course not. But I can tell you both of them do. They also had other vaccine related side effects prior to the cancer. I can only hope that vaccine did not cause it. But anyway, I’m glad I made the decision to decline.

low risk but took the first two COVID shots shortly after they became available. Our reasoning was based solely on what the Government claimed in that the vaccine would "prevent us from spreading it to others". We did it to protect my elderly in-laws from us being a potential COVID spreader to them. What utter stupidity on our part - to actually believe what the Government was claiming about the COVID vaccine...

After seeing that the COVID vaccine is, at best, simply a "stay out of the hospital" shot - no more. We will never, ever, get another one.

What I find particularly ridiculous is the CDC is recommending vaccines for children 6 months old. At this point Who in their right mind would stick this shid in their children - particularly infants?

The vaccines had 90-95% effectiveness in stopping the spread of the original Covid strain. The effectiveness dropped sharply with each new variant, to the point that the vaccine really didn't do much to stop the spread. That doesn't change the statistics for the first strain.

I don't understand why people insist on treating variant #1,000 like it's the original strain.

And yes, until there is a methodology for quickly identifying, producing, and distributing vaccines based on the newest/latest strains (like we have with influenza), and because most everybody has had Covid by now, there isn't much point in getting boosters unless you're immunocompromised, and even then, I'd be listening to my doctor.

You’re free to listen to whoever you want and believe what you want, but I’d encourage you to consider your sources and talk to your own doctor about any vaccines. These people or groups that are heavily involved in peddling rumors and conspiracies about the vaccines are taking advantage of people’s fears, and are making money off of these fears, using unsourced, manipulative, misrepresented, or outright fabricated data trying to sell you subscriptions to their blogs or their books or YouTube channels.

The people who spend their lives researching and treating cancer, every national and international organization, collaborations of surgeons, oncologists, researchers, people who understand the science of cancer are in 100% agreement that there is no evidence linking covid vaccines to cancer. So you can choose to suspend belief in the “establishment” in favor of more unscrupulous sources, but do so at your own risk.

when I asked a couple of years ago. I asked her about the booster and she started spouting off the cdc recommends...then I stopped her and said, no what is your opinion. Her eyes got big and she said, I'm not getting it, but you can get it if you want to.

A few hours after my wife got the second vaccine, way back early because she is a nurse and was the first in her clinic to treat covid patients, she collapsed and I had to call 911. They worked on her a good 15 minutes in the back of the ambulance before taking her and of course I was not allowed to go to the ER with her. They did let me in her room the next day.

She had heart issues and the heart surgeon visited her in her hospital room which according to her meant that it was serious. He was considering surgery, but based on what I told him he did not. The doctors were not surprised based on what they had seen with the vaccines.

Hindsight is 20/20 but it was a bad idea for her to get vaccinated.

Don't get your medical advice from any government, politician, infotainment "news" outlet, internet expert, celebrity, or anybody other than from a real life doctor who you trust. Whether you take that advice is then totally up to you, but if you do anything else, you're a ####### moe-ron. And if you don't trust any doctors because you think they are all on the take or otherwise part of some conspiracy, you are an even bigger idjit, and I hope you get the help you need.

I got the fist two shots back in 2020 because my family doc, 2 cardiologists, and neurologist all recommended it. Since then I've had covid twice that I know of, and once was like a wierd flu, then the next time was like a bad cold. No lasting effects from the shots or the covid as far as I can tell.

Last couple of times I saw my family doc, I asked about boosters/shots, and he said at this point, it was just like a flu shot, it was entirely up to me. I didn't take the shot. I'll ask my doctors again, who I know and literally trust with my life, and I'll follow their advice. I don't give a flyingfuck what Elon Musk, the NYT/WaPo, Fox/CNN talking heads, or TNET says.

Covid damages the immune system. The immune system prevents cancer

Anyway.....not going to post a wall of links.

As for the vaccine, I will probably not get it for the foreseeable future. My reasoning is completely different from your much more reasonable approach. I'm not getting it because it's not very useful at this point, for me.

The vaccine had a time and a purpose. That time has past, unfortunately. In early Feb. 2023 I got covid. Likely XBB.1.5 at the time. Then they came out with a vaccine based on XBB.1.5. So why bother getting it? This past May/June I had covid again. Likely JN.1. Then they came out with a JN.1 vaccine. Again, why get it. By the time they find a variant worthy of being in a vaccine, everyone has already had it. Meanwhile, the virus is already mutating to circumvent the natural immunity to the prior variant you had. So if you get the booster, it will still be circumvented by the virus mutating into the next variant you get. BA.2.86 and later JN.1 had 30+ mutations that different from XBB.1.5 which came before it. Technically, these are all new "pandemics". JN.1 was BA.2.86 with ONE additional mutation to the 30 others, and it was as transmissible as any prior variant. JN.1 went over 80% in genome dominance. To date only WU/Delta/Omicron (BA.1/2) and now JN..1 have gone over 80%.

If you're immunocompromised, elderly, or haven't had covid in over a year, I'd get a booster. So far I haven't made it that long, and most people probably won't. But it will be inherently limited in effectiveness because it's based on the very virus that was previously dominant, which most people will get, which the virus will then mutate to avoid. Next round......rinse and repeat.

No. I’m healthy, the immunization affords only a few months protection against hospitalization or death and COVID is not a seasonal virus unlike influenza, so one shot a year to me doesn’t make a lot of sense. I’m done for now with a total of 4 shots. Did get the flu shot yesterday.

The COVID virus continues to mutate so the immunization affords limited protection as the virus mutates from the current predominant strain.

I seriously doubt we are seeing an increase in cancer cases related to the vaccine. I suspect any increase is related to screening efforts being delayed during COVID.

Furthermore there is generally a latent period of many many years between exposure to a carcinogen and development of a clinically detectable cancer.

If you’re at risk or are otherwise inclined to take the current COVID vaccine, by all means go ahead if your concern is that the vaccine is somehow causing folks to get cancer.

Many things in medicine fall into the category of true, true and unrelated. I’m extremely skeptical that exposure to a COVID vaccine even 4 years ago has caused a single cancer at this point. The timeline just doesn’t make sense.

If so, the COVID vaccine will be proven to be one of the most potent carcinogens ever. That is extremely unlikely.
