Every team has a bad day and college football in unpredictable. Miami and SMU are not powerhouses and don't be surprised if they lose a game and we are back in play. What a gift for conference champion winners to get first round byes. We may have a team ranked outside of the top in the top 4 CFP

I think we have gotten so spoiled and entitled collectively as a fan base... There is really nothing dabbo in the tigers can do to keep everyone happy. He really has to win a title or be in the top for every year or else it's just not a success.
Bama fans wanted to run Saban out of town last season before back dooring into the playoffs.
If I was guessing in the past 4 years we might be top 10 and wins, we did win an ACC championship.. but of course no playoffs and doesn't look that way this year either.
We are still a pretty dang good program that a lot of fans would love to be.

We will now measure every single season against the 2015-2020 years. Who we beat? How many points we win by how many titles we have, who we beat in the playoffs etc. we go around as a fan base on here and talk about how biased ESPN is. However subconsciously we all listen to their crap and take it as gospel. They have us thinking that Louisville is no different than Georgia Southern.
The bottom line is I have noticed the past few years this fan base cannot enjoy anything, not even a win. At the end of the day, this is nothing more than an entertainment outlet for everyone.. it means absolute crap in the grand scheme of life for nearly all of us. Maybe a win or another title makes you feel better when you look in the mirror or pour a cup of coffee at the office so you can brag to your co-workers.
I get it, I'm the same way.. but we also can't go around crapping on every single part of the football program when we lose a game. Something does have to change to get back to the top but I'm not willing to throw every single thing out and rag on dabo every possible chance we get when something negative happens. That guy has done more for this University in the past decade that the school could never repay him for what he actually generated for it.

Spoiled huh? We pay a coach 11 million a year and a staff that is equal or more than that and this is the product they put on the field. That money is well over the annual budgets of most of the towns in SC and believe me it's not spoiled to think for that kind of money we don't get a 7-5 season or an 8-4 season. I don't think it's spoiled to expect a ROI.

I think the main thing that has gotten lost with the common Clemson fan the past couple of years is that we can't even enjoy a win, a hard fought come from behind win on the road.... Against a team that almost serves as a rivalry to us given Nardizzi's smugness.
And right now we are 8-2, good chance we end up with 10-11 wins. That's pretty good if I can sit down and watch Clemson in the fall to know they'd win 85% of the time I watch. It's pretty decent entertainment, yes I want more but I can also be content with knowing that it's just entertainment.

Got news for you bud and I'll save you a lot of time. You're going spend almost every year. Extremely disappointed as a Clemson fan.
I'm not defending Dave's results per se but you also need to understand as others that the 11 million is market based on his value. That's how this works.
The amount of money again that David Sweeney has generated for Clemson in its entire athletic department. Businesses in town etc. Is hand over fist the amount of money he gets back.

How much have you donated to the NIL collective? That is what started 4 years ago, you buy high school players in todays market you don't recruit them... Saban did not want to deal with it and he walked away...
Hopefully the listing ship will right itself, its borderline unwatchable 4.5 hours for a 1 hour game...

Yes I could totally see them adjusting that rule about the conference champ getting a bye. There will be times when the 5-7 seeded teams will be ranked higher than seed #4.
I don't see Miami or SMU losing two games though...and that's assuming CLemson wins out.
