final 4 football playoff spots has a significant part graded on strength of schedule THEN Clemson really needs to find a way to beef up its schedule in coming years with a quality non-conference opponent from one of the four other major conferences. (Like UGA).

If so ... then this becomes a need and challenge for our program. Wyoming won't do.

IF we go undefeated, then chances are we're in a 4 team playoff. Not many teams go undefeated. I doubt it's typically 4 or more, and even if it is, we stand about a good of a chance as anyone. If we're in battle with 1-loss teams for a spot, I still don't see Clemson losing out a spot anymore than any other 1-loss team.

Clemson is a respected program and most often gets widely recognized. Yearly winning will place us near the top to start every, and winning will keep us there as the polls develop throughout the year. It is extremely difficult for one team to jump another solely based on SOS. Regardless, our schedule isn't radically different than most teams.

I agree the way to make it in will be path of least resistance. As long as FSU and SC stay relevant then we will be better off to just win. Teams will start to stop playing tough out of conference games.

they aren't going to schedule a strong ACC team. It's pot luck with the Big 12 and B1g.

We have enough going this season to make the playoff if we can win out. After UGAy who knows?

is the fact that they are typically overrated and we get them on the schedule every three years, so that will help.
