No. It’s the runner’s job not to run into a tag when it’s not a force play. That’s 12U level.

That’s not always true. Depends on if the coach has a contact call on.

The catcher has to give either the front or the back half of the plate. The catcher put his foot on the 3rd base corner of the plate as he should. There was room to slide. Creighton is a lazy slider IMO. The foot first sliding is a less effective style. If he goes head first he’s safe on both plays.
