to give SEC teams two weeks to prepare for their ACC rivals. That’s the only reason the coots ever won 5 in a row against Clemson. This year Clemson is doing what SC did last year by scheduling a bye before the game. What does this mean for you? The coots are going to get killed by a superior Clemson team who has had two weeks to prepare. Oh yeah I’m pretty sure Wofford is a lot better than Charleston Southern. You’re pathetic. I agree. One cupcake per season is enough. Until the ACC lifts its game.
We should schedule in an SEC West opponent...in addition to an SEC game at start of year and finishing with coots at end of the year. Beat three SEC teams across both their divisions...that would help.

Scheduling an additional tough OOC opponent reduces your chances of making the playoffs under the current format. If the NCAA ever goes to an 8 team playoff with the Power 5 conference winners getting an automatic bid, playing another good OOC team would not be as potentially damaging.

We have an agreement to play one in state school (besides SCAR). Many majors do this. It’s a financial windfall for the lower division school. It’s a contribution to the state.
You’ll have to ask Alabama and the other other SEC schools why they do this AND schedule multiple OUT OF STATE schools at this level.
