Jeff Scott is the very best offensive coordinator in the entire United States that Clemson could get? why at the very least did Dabo not interview three or four top candidates? Welcome to the Billy Napier experiment part 2.

well, if you don't think Coach Swinney has earned the right to make the final decision about his next Offensive Coordinator, prepare to get butthurt, cuz it sure sounds like Jeff Scott's going to get the job.

It makes sense to keep the system as unchanged as possible

The offense works, and the players already understand it. Many of the players who signed here did so because they wanted to play in this system. Scott makes sense because with him, the only thing that should change from a successful offensive regime is the playcaller. It's not an experiment when we already know it's going to work.

It was a different scenario with Napier. Napier was an assistant under Spence, who wasn't a good OC for us. Spence's system wasn't working, and Napier's didn't work either.

Jeff Scott has been the Head Coach and play caller for a State Championship Winning High School Team. Does that sound familiar? Jeff Scott is an elite recruiter and WR Coach and has spent 4 years being groomed by Chad Morris to be an OC as well as 7 years on the staff. Billy Napier was our only option at the point when he was given a chance. Jeff Scott deserves this and I truly believe he is going to do very well.
