Not me. I don't believe even one chart said that.

If there is a chart that said they should kick they should throw it in the trash.
If we kick the xp and miss it we can win with 2 tds
If we kick the xp and make it we can win with 2 tds
If we go for 2 and miss we can win with 2 tds
If we go for 2 and get it we can win with 1 td 2pt and fg
There was literally no benefit whatsoever in kicking.

No. That was ignorant. If some chart said go for one, then someone with a tad bit of common sense should have recognized how stupid that was and tossed it like a frisbee.

Section I was sitting in couldn't understand going for one.
Only thing I can (now) think of was the towel was thrown in and trying to rebuild confidence in the kicker.

I thought that got shredded along with Dabo's 'Waffle House Menu' playcall sheet when Riley finally got some semblance of control of the offense.
Must have missed one.

Down 13, and 1: either Insanity or WE GIVE UP

I hated 90% of that disgusting performance (I give it 80% on coaching, 20% on the players), but the WORSE of all was Dabo not going for 2 when we got it to 13 down w/6mins left. I prefer to think Dabo went temporarily Insane, because the only other alternative is he decided, TO #### WITH IT, WE GIVE UP. (his “we got it from the chart” bs presser explanation – that disgusted me even more). ...And, I’m one who loves Dabo.

And maybe rethink it even when the crowd started booing and murmuring in disbelief.

Last time I looked, we lost by 12 so 1 or 2 points would have made no difference.

I think we should hire Shane Beamer as our special teams coach.

Don’t knock it. He was a great special teams coach. We should get someone like him to work on our special teams strategy and play instead of just ignoring it as we do.

It's going to be really embarrassing if SC beats us in a close game with a blocked FG or big punt return.

By your question, you make it apparent

you have never played on or coached a team. Game speed is 100x faster than what you experience while sitting on the couch stuffing your face with frozen chicken wings and drinking Bud Lite. Coaches don't ponder the situation, they go from pre-determined situational play sheets based on statistical probable outcomes. It's never 100%, but you don't have time to chat about it on Facebook with other 12 years olds to make a decision.
Bottom line: WTH do you know about football?

So no coach has ever lined up 4th & 1 from the opponent’s 30, then called a timeout and sent out the field goal team instead? Everything’s pre-determined by a situational play sheet? No in-game strategy is ever applied?
No question that we should have gone for 2 in that situation. It was a poor decision to kick.

Do your really need a chart for that call? He has 100 coaches on his sideline and I’d be amazed if 99 of them weren’t thinking, everyone in this stadium thinks you should go for 2 . I made a remark to my daughter about it , she know more than most females about football, and she said she thought she was missing something on why he didn’t go for 2 .
Of course at the end of the day it wouldn’t have mattered, but he had no way of knowing that. If it would have ending up mattering, Dabo would have been absolutely torched across the country for not knowing the situation. If truly no other coach spoke up, it tells the mindset more the assistants have around Dabo as far as speaking up when he’s making bad decisions.
Someone in Dabos position has a lot on him, I’d want folks around me who aren’t afraid to speak up when they see something I’m missing

What coach would not use timeout and throw the hail mary at the end of the 1st half? The same coach who wouldn't go for 2. The same coach who didn't believe it was necessary to run up tempo offense when losing by 19 when the clock doesn't stop running. Was Dabo having an out of body experience during that game? He looked lost.

and the not going for two points shows that the coaches didnt truly expect a comeback to win and were not thinking about it
