Does ACC get two teams into the playoff?

Aug 17, 2014, 6:32 PM

What if Fl. State runs the table, and the only game that we lose is to them? We would have been two SEC teams. Good enough for both of us to get in?

Seems to be the same logic for Bama and LSU both making it in.

No, nobody will.

The committee will not let this happen. They will not risk the hell fire it would bring. Someone is going to get screwed which is why I support an 8 team playoff

Here's the way I read the statement regarding this.

There are five major conferences. The conference champs get special consideration. Somebody's conference champ is going to be left out.

In order for a team that isn't a conference champ to get in it seems that at least two of the conference champs would have to lose twice for a one loss conference champ to get a seed.

Make sense?

Only One Way

The only way any conference gets two in is if two of the conference champions have 3 or more losses. If a conference champ plays a weak schedule 2 losses may exclude them.
But most likely the debate will be about which conference gets left out instead of anyone getting two in.
And how about we just beat Florida State's ### and get in the right way!??????

That's how I should have asked: We run the table, and Fl. State's only loss is to us.

need to perform well this season for two reasons: to improve our SOS and to attract greater media notice to the conference.

Contrary to some thinking, I don't believe in latent media bias against Clemson or the ACC, for over the years the polls have revealed otherwise when we succeed.

The not-so-secret secret: win, win, win, win, win!
