Clemson NIL money for football

I've seen some misinformation spread on this board about Clemson's NIL funds for football. The false info is either agenda driven or someone spreading false information to feel important. Here are the facts.
The 110 Society currently doesn't have a lot of funds available. The funds are depleted yearly and has to be replenished. Those raising funds are having to ask the same people contributing to IPTAY, to turn around and dip in those pockets again. This hasn't gone as well those spreading misinformation likes to portray. One thing I haven't been able to get clarity on is it sounds like IPTAY will start working with the collectives on this. This is why NIL has been focused on player retention as opposed to acquisition.
Expect changes to come about but what I just posted is FACT. We haven't had the $NIL that some on here would lead you to believe.

known by "the public"/Clemson fans. Seems if there was some confidence that the NIL money donated would most definitely be used for retention AND acquisition there'd likely be an uptick of donations. Right now the "Perception", as right or wrong as it may be is "we pay NIL, we do a good job" but see no benefit of acquiring talent that way.

Up to this point there has been a lot of confusion on collecting NIL. The plan moving forward is for all parties to be on the same page and answering to the same people.

your statement just now, assuming true, indicates that was also a false perception.

"ahead of the curve" might not think what you think it means.
He said getting money and filling money is an issue.
By ahead of the curve they could mean they built the facilities, they are hiring staff.. They have all the logistics and procedures in place. They are ahead of most schools.
Got everything but the donors.

I think nil money at all schools come mainly from some alumni with deep pockets. We need to court some deep pockets who are avid sports fans. Hitting IPTAY members up for more money is not going to generate much revenue. The majority do have not deep pockets. Some have holes in their pockets.

The deep pocket donors have been hit up time and again. Keep in mind this money gets depleted on a yearly basis and it starts all over again.

We aren't a poor school. We aren't at a disadvantage when it comes to NIL.
Yes, those funds get depleted and have to be replenished, but that's true everywhere. It's not unique to Clemson.

Facts for either argument would shut down the other. Anybody got a P&L or ledger they'd like to share to shut the other one up? Without that nobody is presenting facts, just statements yet to be proven.

LOL. Why are you spreading misinformation? Do you think we have an endless amount of NIL just because PJ is getting $500k and Girard is being well taken care of?
Annual funds can spread really thin really fast.

That source is not based on a actual sharing of NIL deal numbers. At best it’s inaccurate, at worst it’s fiction.

We are sixth nationally in NIL amount per player according to one source. was your source Brad Brownell, once again complaining about the funding of the NIL for the football program vs the funding of the NIL for Men's Basketball? Asking for a friend. Inquiring minds want to know.

We aren't a poor school. We aren't at a disadvantage when it comes to NIL.
Yes, those funds get depleted and have to be replenished, but that's true everywhere. It's not unique to Clemson.
This is true, but what also is true is the efficiency and effectiveness of NIL. The current collectives are winding down, and 110 Society is ramping up. Thus, the process is not as efficient as compared to other schools who have their processes working well. There are new people involved in new roles who are being presented with funding requests and having to get their network of NIL sources exercised. Thus the results can be a bit of a scrambling around. Just bad timing for football.
I had a monthly contribution to Dear Old Clemson set up that has now ended. I haven’t got around to doing my diligence with 110 Society and no one from the organization has reached out which you would expect to happen as the old collectives share their contribution lists. I’m just one example of a missing contribution from a crowd sourcing perspective. Thus, you can imagine 110 Society is leaning very heavily on the deep pocket boosters right now.

110 society needs reps in every county or region in the state. They need to start doing town hall type Prowl n Growl’s. Meet, greet, food, fellowship, power point presentations, and pass the hat. Clemson is going to have to do this thing grassroots style, much like the original Iptay approach. The folks that have the most money are often the least tech savvy are are not gonna just throw money at a website, IMO. What’s troubling to me is the fact we all knew where this NIL train was headed, yet here we are behind the eight ball, woefully unprepared.... which seems uncommon for Clemson FB. I do not believe there aren’t at least 100,000 Tiger fans willing to give at least $300 annually for NIL. That’s 30 mil annually and should keep us nationally relevant.

Do you donate to IPTAY? IF you did you know There are only 20,000 people currently donating to IPTAY. Coming up with 80,000 new donors for NIL will be tough.

Not currently an Iptay member...was for probably 20 years. Can’t afford the home games/season tickets...esp. with a freshman attending. Yes I give more than $300 to NIL bc good Clemson FB is worth it to me. It may shock you that the majority of Clemson fans are not alumni or Iptay members. Iptay was built by blue collar textile workers, farmers, etc. who just wanted to cling to anything Clemson. That low hanging fruit is still there, Iptay just quit picking it and turned into a country club

Fact is, I don't think ANY school is paying the NIL money people think they are. Nothing is public, all is rumor.
There was a Texas A&M player (WR maybe?) just the other day that said he never got a dime. This in spite of it being said that every player was getting money.
