I don't know exactly how hot his seat is, but I'd imagine the folks in Norman aren't gonna be too thrilled about getting wood-shedded by the coots at home like that, especially with the offense to continuing to look terrible.

2 weeks ago, heck even earlier this week I said he’d get another year to try and fix the offense.
After how they looked yesterday I’m not so sure.
They get embarrassed again like that 1,2 more times this year.. I think they’ll bite the buyout bullet and do it.

I would like to think he gets another year, but they have Ole Miss, Missouri, Bama, and LSU left to go. At least 2 of them will be boat races. I may just be too much for OK boosters to bear.

I read his buyout is $44.8M. I believe he gets another year.

It depends what happens. I think he fired his OC to try to buy himself more time. But he's not going to have a very long leash. They fired him in a heartbeat last time, and they'll do so again. I think he's pretty much a dead man walking. There's a coin flip he survives the season, but if they let him come back, there will be insane expectations for next year.

Fired him last time? I don’t believe CBV has ever been fired by OU. He was demoted IIRC to co-dc making room for Stoops brother then Dabo scooped him up

They are currently 4-2 but have some really tough games left. If they fail to make a bowl game I think he's gone.

He will get one more year but the schedule for next year is just as difficult as this season, will have to go to the portal and keep his fingers crossed that a QB wants to come there, as the ones playing now are really bad.

His buyout is like 45mil or thereabouts. And they did go 10-3 last year after a rough first year. But if they finish, say 5-7, which is a distinct possibility, then the seat would get a lot hotter, at least in terms of general rhetoric - (although I don't know what his buyout would be next year).

Brent without a "Get Back Coach" is not the real BV. I don't know who that calm, cool and collected dude is but he is not the raging maniac who coached at Clemson. I guess the Peter Principle caught up with Brent..........maybe the best Defensive Coordinator ever!

his last year here at Clemson either. I wonder what happened. I do wish Dabo would have praised him a little more when he was here. But it was the perfect duo for those precious years.

Yes.
Next year? Not losing 2+ games per year. No way. No how.
But he'll be a coordinator at some big 10 or SEC school, so I wouldn't worry too much about BV.
