Surprised that he chose to fix up the old Habitat house rather than buy her a new home in Gainsville if that is where she chooses to live. I thought she and the family had moved to Houston. I think that was part of a tv show. My houze or something like that.

You’re right Neal. I remember that too. Her family and her church buds are there. Not everyone just wants to uproot and move to texas or wherever DW4 may be.

I am sure Deshaun would give her anything she wants. We don’t know she may have a place in Texas too, but it sounded like she and Deshaun consider this house home.

2 Observations ... well maybe a few

1. Deshaun is absolutely a class act. His success has not changed him in any negative way that I can see.
2. He loves his family and you can tell that those relationships are still important to him
3. You know Deshaun could have just bought her a new "nicer" house in a new "nicer" neighborhood, but it's the people and the family which makes life wonderful and moving away would have been a significant downgrade.
4. I have no relationship with DW4, but I'm still proud of him and hope my kids grow up to be as impressive a young man (or woman) as he has become.
5. That was produced by Ashton Kutcher ... what!?

I'm sure DW would pay for her to live anywhere she wishes, but a couple of things - for H4H homes, you have to keep them a certain number of years, otherwise it goes back to the organization.. and an even bigger thing - she helped build that house, their whole family did. Anyone that's watched Deshaun knows what that house means to him, and how much he credits that exact home to who he is today. It got them out of the ghetto and changed all of their lives. It may be smaller, but to them it's so much more than just lumber and drywall. That's the difference between a "house" and a "home".
There's nothing wrong with that, and we all could benefit from being happier with what we already have.
