Did we over achieve in 2024

With only 3 players selected in the 2025 draft, and those late round selections, did we over achieve in 2024? If we didn’t, we must be loaded in 2025. Thoughts?

Seemed about right to me. 3 double digit losses.

1-3 against ranked teams.

Loaded this year though.

2024 was a lot like 2022 seasons results wise.Won the ACC (inline with preseason expectations) but lose all of the games against high ranked p4 teams on the schedule and inexplicably lose to the Coots at home.

The big difference is that the team is in a much stronger position going in to 2025 than we were in 2023.

So I would say we didn’t under or over achieve based off of expectations in 2024, we did exactly what most predicted ( win ACC but not progress in the CFP)

No, winning football games has nothing to do with individual players, it is a team game.

A punter. 3 were drafted another 2-3 will get free agent contracts. We performed about where you’d expect for a team with a talented Junior/So oriented team.

No. We had holes and also we didn't have many people eligible for the draft. No we didn't overachieve though. We didn't underachieve either imo.

Undetachieved. It is flat out unacceptable to lose to the coots no matter the circumstances.

If we could've beaten Texas i could be more forgiving.

They did pretty well in the draft and had some serious talent and we had some holes stopping the run obviously. Even the Citadel ran on us. We still could have easily won that game though.

If Clemson can't stop the Citadel from running the ball , that's a monumental failure.


Even if Stump Mitchell is at RB.

Yeah we had some coaching issues and personnel issues that were resolved. That was last year.

worse that we have been giving them away - last two coot wins were straight gifts

we were the better team in both games but played like doo

I mean honestly we lost to every good team we played last year. Yes, thankfully we beat the teams that we “should have”. At the end of the day we lost to Louisville and the dirtpeckers at home… at home. Thats underachieving.

Thankfully we escaped Pitt with a win.
