It might be one of the greatest games by a defensive player in all of college fb history. 4 sacks, 5 tfls, 1 pass breakup, and a forced fumble. Never in my life have I seen a stat line like that.

I think Andre Branch had a game like this in the 2012 Peach Bowl against LSU.

No that was Malliciah Goodman is the lsu game. You’re thinking of the regular season matchup with Virginia tech in 2011.

standing in mud on most plays. I don't think he made a single tackle in that game.
So good for him to bounce back.

I think Bill Braskey had a better game onetime. We all know how dangerous Braskey was!

Seems like he had a 30 tackle game against the Gamecocks and set a school record for TFLs in one game too... It was the year he should have won the Butkus Award.

Keith Adams had a few of those in 1999 / 2000 I seem to remember. 27 tackles and 3 sacks vs Cooters for the 31-21 win. And the best part of that victory over the Cooters was it was in Willie Bryce and we carried Brad Scott off the field on the Team's shoulders in Lou Holtz's first season with the cooters where I think they went 1-10. Or maybe that was his record his second year.
https://clemsontigers.com/adams-breaks-single-game-tackle-record/
As a sophomore in 1999, he was named a starter at outside linebacker. He registered 186 tackles (led the nation and set school record), 35 tackles for loss (led the nation and set school record) and 16 sacks (second in the nation and set school record). He set a school record with 27 tackles against the University of South Carolina. He set school records with 4 sacks and 6 tackles for loss against Duke University. He had 10 tackles and received the defensive MVP award against Mississippi State University in the 1999 Peach Bowl. He earned first-team All-ACC, the ACC Defensive Player of the Year, and second-team All-American honors

Wow. I’d do anything to have one of his kids on this 2024 team.
