To me, they were one of the best bands of their era. Jaimoe is the last living member of the original Allman Brothers Band.

we saw them and then a bit later Duane was killed. About a year later we saw them again and a bit later Berry Oakley was killed. I used to say I quit going to see them to save the others lives.

Back in the mid 90’s the Allman brothers band played at freedom weekend aloft when it was out at Donaldson center. I remember we walked around towards the back of the stage before they started playing and when they walked off the bus I got Dickey Betts and Warren Haynes’s autograph. Of course I had no clue who they were but my dad did. I was around 10 years old then. The Allman Brothers band has always been my dads favorite band.

When Charlie Daniels gives you a shout out in a song… you know that you’re great.

Dickie Betts was awesome!!

One of the first bands in the 70's I fell in love with. Saw them in the Columbia Collision after Duane died in the mid 70's. First time I noticed a distinct odor in the air 🤣. Great guitarist

One of the all timers. As Charlie Daniels said, everyone comes from near and far to hear Dickey Betts pick on that red guitar!

I was fortunate to see the Allman Brothers Band play at Ovens Coliseum in Charlotte in 1990. Great show!
