Desean Jackson's house was robbed

250k in cash and some guns. Pretty normal to have a quarter mil in cash around the house, right? All perfectly legal, I am sure. What an idiot. And I am sure the "burglars" had no prior knowledge. Just a random act...

a quality large-sized fire rated gun safe will usually run around 2500 to 3000.

or the necessity, if you consider the possibility that the cash was not completely legit and therefore had to be laying around the house. A safe would have been a good idea, at the very least.

if you are rationalizing keeping 250k in cash in a residence. Perhaps you can enlighten me as to a good reason to do this, versus, say, .... a freakin bank or safe deposit box?! Maybe he was about to do a cash deal on a lambo...

you're on a witch hunt here.
The inflated value of cash was wrong, it was mostly in items, so he was robbed of some very expensive watches and other jewelry...stuff you don't put in a bank.
And even if the value of cash was correct, that's 1/3 of his yearly salary, so it really doesn't need to be rationalized.

huh? my point all along was that it is STUPID to have that much cash in your house. Did not mention the jewelry, watches etc. If you disagree that it is stupid to keep 250 k cash in the house, then we disagree. You are entitled to your opinion, however silly it might be

according to espn..
Investigators said Saturday the burglary happened sometime earlier in the week at Jackson's home, not far from the team's practice facility. Police say the cash and jewelry were taken from a safe.
A silver 9mm handgun is also missing. No arrests have been made, and a police spokeswoman says the investigation is ongoing.
According to reports, there was no sign of forced entry. Jackson's mother discovered the apparent burglary on Saturday morning and told police that some of Jackson's friends had access to the house.

cash in his safe.
I'm sure you want to do things too that people say "well that just isn't rational at all."
Sorry guy, didn't know you were the smartest most logical human on the planet.
And if you want the real reason, I'm sure Mr. Jackson has a twitter account so why don't you ask him and see if he replies?

It really isn't hard to believe a professional athlete has items in his house totaling 250k. The news reports totaled the value of cash and items together meaning he didn't have 250K cash just lying around.
Also, everyone knows he's rich so regardless of the amount of cash and items he has at his house, somebody is going to assume its there and in this case they stole it.

a delusional idiot. I don't remember him telling Philly he wants a cut in pay for doing basically nothing last year for them, lol. The guy has a decent season and now he wants to be paid like a Top 3 receiver when he is barely a Top 10 receiver that was ALREADY getting paid like nearly a Top 5 receiver would be. LeSean McCoy is where the Eagles need to focus their money. Let this clown walk if he wants to.

The doofus old good ole fella that won one of the first huge Powerball drawings had a ton of cash stolen out of his car at a strip club in his town. This dinky little town he lived and stayed in after winning, everyone knows who he is, and he is hanging at a strip club with a couple of hundred thousand in cash in his car.

guy. Dude was already a multi millionaire before he won...not only did he have the 200, 000 stolen, before that he had a briefcase he would carry around with 545,000 in cash stolen, lol. When asked why he would carry around that much cash, he said,"Because I can." The guy's granddaughter is dead. The mother of the granddaughter has died. The boyfriend of the granddaughter was found dead not long before her. The dude has been sued and on and on and on....sheesh.

Routinely, people would stop by to borrow money from him. A few weeks later, those same people would show-up again to repay the money he previously loaned to them. In hindsight, I believe dear ole dad may have been operating a loan sharking business on the side.
