Is Ohio State realky that GOOD?

Why is there so much love bucknuts? Had to get a waiver to play in their championship game, not four of the five teams they beat, had loosing records. Indiana 6-1, lost to the nuts hy 7 points. I love the big talk from the bucknuts and the SEC ,about ohio state playing A&M, for a make up game- yet neither wanted to play out of conference! Hahaha well you know the old say, dazzle them brillance or baffle them with bull shyte!

Defensively, Ohio State's secondary is very average.

On offense, Fields has not played very well this year. Their OL is not playing as well as last year. Their record against the four teams played this year other than Indiana have a combined record of 9 wins and 19 losses. The best record for those four teams is 3 wins and 5 losses.
Ohio State's marquee win is the 7 point win at home in the fourth game of the year against Indiana. Indiana's passing total in that game was 491 yards. Ohio St. threw for 300 yards.

And ordinarily if your opponents records are so abysmal - it gets held against you! Voters are going on pre-season rankings and historical success to rank the Buckeyes! Because on the actual field they have not proved worthy as it relates to what the criteria has been in the past!

100% agree. Ohio state may as well be part of the SEC. BEND the rules as far as you can ........ how dose Florida get beat by LSU, what two wins, and does fall by ut one spot.

I’d put them in the same bucket as a ND, if you know what I’m saying.

They are not as good as they were last year. The glaring difference is their secondary. If (I know about ifs and buts) not for a pick 6, Indiana takes them to overtime and probably wins as the cryin Ryan’s offense scored 0 in the 2nd half.

How good? What's the criteria?

That's the problem - it's all just somebody's opinion.

It’s all about the brown-eye test. They certainly pass.
They posses some of the largest, most abused brown-eyes.

I think honestly the only two teams in the top 4 better this year vs last are Bama and ND but any of the 4 except ND can win it all!

Cincinatti! Army, UCF, Memphis, SMU all have above .500 records. SMU, Memphis, Army and UCF were all ranked at one point during this season. Maybe even when they played; but not sure! Houston is exactly .500.
Ohio State has played exactly 1 team with a winning record and only won the game by 7 at home to historical door mate Indiana.
Texas A & M - two wins versus opponents with winning records. Including beating Florida when they were in the top 10. Auburn was their other win. Lost but also played decent once they settled down at Alabama. See, they risked it by playing teams with a pulse in 3 games. Ohio St has only risked it in 1 game against a decent team and struggled in it.
So to answer, both of the above!

Well idk how anybody could come up with 4 teams that are better without lying to themselves. I think Bama and us are and maybe ND.

They sign a Top 2 recruiting class every year. Like Georgia, they get a lot of unearned “street cred” from this every year.

When you compare the bucknuts to the rest of the big yes they are tat good. Look at their record against the conference then look at the OOC and bowl record. It speaks for itself.

So they are good in confrence, but that realky does not say much about their conference. Other than their first natty, they cant get by anybody.
