Sweet! Could be a gym in the class. Also, I'm guessing that should be "recorded" a safety, not sure you can recover a safety in the endzone without it beinga TD.

This guy is gonna be that next stud at wde. Way under rated. These rating services have gotten lazy they don't go to school and games. They wait for kids to come to them, and if they don't they don't get rated high.

I think it has to do with who is recruiting him. I think if an SEC team would of been recruiting him hard then he might of been rated higher. Anything to keep the ACC down. But I think this guy is a hidden gem for sure

Could be a gem in this class, not a gymnasium. You are right though. He will be a good one!

Matt Colburn not offered by Clemson or SCAR ...

Dec 14, 2014, 10:31 AM

Not sure about the exact criteria for choosing "Mr. Football" in the Palmetto State, but wonder how often the winner gets no offers from Clemson and SCAR ??

Mr football is now an award to make usc football look good. If no usc recruit is worthy it goes to someone going out of state.

He looks like Kelvin Benjamin as a receiver. His film actually looks like he's more explosive than Mike Williams was off the line. It will be interesting to see this kid develop.

Defensive MVP for the North team

Dec 14, 2014, 10:09 PM

went to Denzel Johnson. He currently has a gray shirt offer. I'd like to see him get a full offer.

Who do you suggest they drop?

Re: Defensive MVP for the North team

I don't suggest we drop anyone. We are currently only using 83 of our 85 scholarships, we have twenty seniors and Kitt is leaving. That gives us 23 available scholarships and currently have 21 kids committed. If we find 2 more studs to commit and everyone qualifies, I'm fine with a gray shirt. Swinney already told him if we don't get some of these other recruits, there's a spot. If none of that happens, I'd like to see him get a full scholarship offer.

He is a good kid who has already qualified. He plays WR and DB. His WR coach at AC Flora is Airese Currie. He has grown up a Clemson fan and his dream is to play for Clemson. South Carolina has also offered him a gray shirt and with all the recruits jumping ship, I'd hate to see him end up a Coot!

Why grey shirts are the best. You get a guy that's a year older and that comes in during the spring so he doesn't count against your 85. If it turns out that guy just can't play you find out during spring practice.

Denzel already said a gray shirt wouldn't bother him because he knows that would just give him a year to get stronger and faster.

Looks like he plays great run defense along with getting pressure on the QB on pass plays...cant wait to see him in orange!

He committed early and never gave a SEC team a chance.

Similar situation with how low they have Muse.

Wasn't huge on this take at first mostly due to size/muscle mass/flexibity concerns. Definitely liking what I'm seeing out of the highlights with a quick get-off, solid hand use and terrifying closing speed. Would like to see him at 245-250 and I think he has enough room for growth to add that in leg muscle alone.

Right now I don't see him as a starter at any time but he could be a very good situational pass rusher.

Weight is the lest thing you should be concerned aboUT in a recruit. They will get bigger in college fast.
