Dawgs a 13.5 eye-popping point fav in ATL over TiGS!

Well, it’s possible and last time they met it may have been as much a similar point spread but game came down to a pick6 and a defensive struggle where Clemson lost 10-3.
Guessing Dabo & Team hear this negative stuff often so what’s new.
UGa has one of nation’s top 5 ranked team accumulation of talent, coaches, $ and past winning records and hasn’t been too shoddy in getting transfers.
This game will be extremely tough and noise level will be deafening due to being a home state territory advantage..but a great test for a team wanting to be great again.
Go TiGERS..Be Great Again & ROCK!

No telling with an opening game the result with an opening game. Not saying we will win but I do believe getting them for an opener helps get our team focused in prepping for the season. At least I hope so

Not only did it take a Pick 6; but remember they went on to dominate the sorry excuse conference on offense that season.
1st game. The beauty of an expanded playoffs is: "a team that doesn't hit their stride until late won't be punished more than likely if they are among the 12 at least"! Saying that to say, Clemson isn't alone when it comes to breaking in new starters who have to get use to playing in front of a big crowd. Georgia or any other school goes through that. I am looking for it to be a good game with Clemson winning by 10. Yep, by 10.
Georgia might be playing great come late in the seaon. But, that's not what we are talking about here. We are talking about an opener where all the pressure is on them.
How many new starters are they replacing? We are too - but we are notorious about rotating players(not as much last season).

Couple of years ago, Georgia followed a national championship by opening with #11 Oregon in the dome. It was a massacre. I'm not suggesting Dawgs beat Tigers 49-3. I am saying if your hope is that UGA won't be experienced or ready for Clemson, you are in for a disappointment. Kirby is bringing in a team who feels like they should have won the natty last season. He will be looking to make a statement against Clemson.

I think this game likely goes one of two ways: 1) CK and the Oline make some progress and the defense keeps Clemson in it until late. Dawgs get a couple of late scores and pull away. Or, 2) CK and oline aren't better. CK continues to put the ball on the ground and throw to the wrong team. Dawgs come in focused and this one gets away from Clemson early.
This will be interpreted here as a slight to Clemson. It isn't. Those teams just aren't in the same place right now.

I'm fairly certain we will be somewhat improved on O'line, but we aren't reinventing anything over a summer. If we do, I'll eat those words, but I do like our defense and I believe we are better at WR than 2023. I also think we've got a descent run game that will likely look better this season. I can't see a blowout, but I'm hoping the ball bounces our way. I've seen crazier.

Clemson's defense is the real deal. Not sure how quickly Matt Luke will make big strides with the oline, but he's a great hire and it's only a matter of time.

To say there are only two possible outcomes and both end in a Tigers loss is quite over confident. How many David’s beat their Goliath? App St was from FCS when they took down #5 Michigan in ‘07, but that is an extreme case.
A third possible outcome, with others more unlikely, is the Tigers winning the game in a slugfest. Not unlikely, not a long shot. The spreads are often accurate but not really the first few weeks of the season when no one knows how a team will mesh. UGa lost Bowers and McConkey and will replace but how many TEs are like Brock? I know they use the portal.
Just because the crooked networks and non journalists pump the humpers doesn’t mean anything come Gameday. It’ll be a f**kin slugfest.
We’ll see right?

On paper and if you remove the emotion and orange-colored glasses, you are correct. UGA is a better team on paper and a better record over the last three years to back it up.
They have proved themselves on the field, and Clemson has been struggling big time with the offense over the last few years.
But, but, but... that's why we play the game and I can't wait. I am hopeful with Luke and improved O line play, Cade will have more time to work his progressions. And I am hopeful with some healthy WR and a couple of promising freshman, we can keep UGA's defense playing honest with some down the field and over the middle passing which will only help our run game.
I just want Clemson to be in a position to win the game in the 4th quarter. I'll take that and whatever happens when the final horn blows.
Go Tigers !!!!

Oregon? Really? You think you can compare their defense to Clemson? We very well might be the best defensive team you face all season. If we can get the offense going it will be a game. If not I expect the dawgs to win late.

Got a pretty good idea after watching the O line struggle again in the Spring Game. Dog's are loaded on defense after being down a bit due to inexpereince last year. We will mount no running attack and Cade will be under extreme pressure the entire game. The bubble screens and short outs are not going to be effective against the press coverage. If the Tigers could score 2 touchdowns I would call it a success. Defense is good but eventually they will wear down. Dawgs are notorious slow starters early season which will keep it respectable. The spread seems about right.

After the last couple of seasons and this past spring, I wouldn’t feel good taking the 13 1/2 points. I have faith in the long term but first game right out the shoot, just not comfortable. Post season….different animal.

Probably about right as the Las Vegas odds makers are pretty shrewd. I think we can win the game, but we are going to have to play much better than we did all of last year. We could also play really well and lose.

Clemson driving deep in dog territory down by 7 and two minutes left. A scoop and score by the defense and dogs win by 14. Does that sound about right?

No matter how you slice it and dice it everything still comes down 11 on 11. Tigers are in a good spot with nothing to lose and Georgia has everything to lose. Hit the “pups” in the mouth every play and they will be running for the dog house. This can be done, just believe it and prove it. Now spot ball!!!

I think Dabo meant to say, Clemson’s stock will rise after the Georgia game.
I’m seeing Cade getting popped hard a couple times and this one could get ugly quickly. Hope I’m dead wrong. Not a fan of our OC so far. Nothing creative, all vanilla. What’s after Mafah at RB? He can’t be an every down back. Too many Q’s..

What do you mean our QB is sorry? He's a 5 star recruit, who is real gritty, he's a grinder, and most importantly he's a baller!!! As of this point none of those things has translated into on field performance, but they darn sure sound real good.
