If I had to pick a player on Secondary to shine, it is not Mickens, But Makuba. He was out of position at Corner and Nickle and had a bad performance against SC and a couple of other head-scratching moments. He needs to get back to his natural position and show us what he did during his freshman year. I would put XT before that, he also needs to prove what he can do healthy. The word from campus is that he is a chiseled monster and in the best shape since his injuries.

Nate Wiggins just needs to own and dominate his side of the field.
RJ Mickens will come into his own if he can get more reps.
Cole Turner has to continue to get consistent seperation.... crisp precise deceptive route running...or in other words... just get open. I don't believe he is the one you lean heavily on though. Let him sneak out there and look threat-less...if you will
The one who needs to shine is none other than Beaux Collins. He needs to be Cris Carter out there and above else stay injury free. His ceiling has not yet been seen enough.
Toriano Pride and Andrew Mukuba are also ones I am rooting for.

no problems with Wiggins if he stays healthy, he will come into his own. Pride looked phenomenal in the spring game, The look on Swinney's face when his name got called told me everything, the kid will see a lot of time this year. He reminds me of the kid LSU had a little while back, the "Honey Badger"
What worries me, and could prevent this defense from being elite, is depth at linebacker and especially Defensive End. Rumor is we will sub with Ruke at SDE, we need a guy that can Hold the edge on stretch plays and I do not see that in anyone on this roster. We were spoiled with Murphy and Bryant the past few seasons.

Cole "Burner" Turner will help tremendously

His speed is real! His hands are real. His willingness to compete is real!
1 year under his belt and hopefully, a ton of confidence in this scheme.
If we are able to run the ball effectively and get the safety out of the box; I think Cole Turner and Adam Randall deep will be regular connections and or attempts!
OL is my biggest thing; in terms of depth! I like our starters - I need some type of report to come out that makes me feel warm and fuzzy about our OL quality depth.

I'll just say that I am surprised he puts Turner ahead of Williams in his list.
I will say this: Clemson is in great shape at WR. If those two guys can stay healthy, the offense will be able to attack vertically and horizontally. "Make the defense cover THE ENTIRE field."

Bubble screens *can* work, but step 1 is to have the QB NOT throw the ball in the dirt 10 feet short of the receiver. DJU often couldn't get past that part.

DJU has incredible ability & arm but his touch & head weren’t connected most of the time. Oregon State will have a shot at rebuilding the engine & the computer into something, I’m still praying for him, DJ is a good kid with great talent but doesn’t like being in the limelight.
We are past this with an incredible young talented QB who will stay healthy and thrive in Rileys offense.
I’m surprised UGA hasn’t figured out we put a cat in the dog house. Keeping your enemies close helps sometimes.
Dabo is pretty smart, this one probably cost him some money but in the long run it was to help the Tigers!

I'll 100% agree with you in believing that DJU is a great kid, but just being a great kid isn't enough to win FB games by outperforming every QB on the roster every game, and DJ wasn't able to that. I'm certain that DJ fell into the very same category as Cole Stoudt did at Clemson, it wasn't the right offensive system that would allow him to shine with his potential....

Same here, but we keep hearing a lot about Turner (speed, comparison to Nuk). I'm excited.

I'm thinking that he must have more speed than Nuk bc Nuk isn't fast by no means.

Cole Turner is more like S.Watkins

Cole Turner reminds me of more of Sammy Watkins than any other Clemson WR of the past 30 years.
C.Turner very fast. Easily faster than Nuk (also easily faster than H.Renfrow). Turner looks as fast as Sammy.
C.Turner doesn’t make ankle breaker route cuts like Renfrow. Who does? Turner runs fast and cuts well. He’s not as smooth as Antonio Williams, but not many WRs are. Also, Turner gets open … looks like how Sammy got open.
C.Turner doesn’t appear to have Nuke’s (or Tee Higgin’s) catch radius. Nuke and Tee are very rare in that regard. Turner looks to have Sammy’s outstanding catch radius, but given the small sample size this might be a stretch (catch my double pun here?).
C.Turner’s size is similar to Nuk, Sammy, Cornell Powell. In this case, size is plenty good enough for holding his ground in contested passes.
C.Turner’s hands remind me of Sammy’s excellent hands.
Turner and Antonio Williams will be our top two WRs this year; Briningstool, Mafah, and Shipley will also catch a ton of passes and be our next most prominent pass catchers.
Pass catching will be our best since 2020.

C. Turner has the potential to leave his own

His physical ability could see him leaving his own legacy.
If Randall, Williams, Collins and B'stool are as productive as we hope - he will get plenty of opportunity to showcase his talent.
I'm hoping we make defenses play A. tired. B. basic. Insert Turner after they have just had to defend Collins and Randall down field and he has the potential to "burn'em"! Great hands + good speed should go in our favor frequently.

I mean I'm glad they didn't score.

Cole is about to turn those words upside down like his brother did, losing a father like they had can help you focus & become determined to be great but genetics 🧬 in this family are incredible with their speed and agility!
We are so blessed to have Cole here instead of Alabama!
