Sit back and enjoy the ride, folks.
Dabo has his mojo back. And per usual, we have the coots to thank for it.
The climb starts now.

Heck, look at Bama the FIRST YEAR without Saban.
It's hard to hit a home run every single hire. I think Dabo wants to see the best in others and often tries to recreate his own "come up" story without realizing just how remarkable and unprecedented his own path has been.
But to his credit, when it's time to make a change, he pulls the trigger. And pulls it in a major way.

You are correct, can't hit a home run every time, but least make contact and don't strike out. Wes was a total 3 pitch strike out and never taking the bat off the shoulder.

Sometimes coaches miss regardless of where they got them. It happens all the time and Dabo isn’t immune to a miss now and then. Overall his success cannot be argued - one of the premier coaches in the playoff era. But he’s not perfect at staff selection, and there isn’t a coach who is.

I'm pretty sure I understand Dabos logic, and it's not really horrible.
When Dabo was making these hires he was watching Saban and Kirbys staff get raided every offseason. He wanted to ensure he had loyalty and continuity, what better way then hiring alumni that played for you and show promise as young coaches. Goodwin was not an "expierement" I suspect Dabo saw some of himself in Goodwin, he was a brilliant football mind that was not exceptionally expierenced but if there was a shot he was special he may very well become a Bud Foster type and been a lifer.
The downside to Dabos plan was he ended hiring too many green coaches at critical roles at once. Developing young coaches is the head man's job but that was way too much burden at once.
Most the guys Dabo let go of will be great coaches within a few years imo. Goodwin still has a shot at becoming a great DC but he needs a guy like Venables to show him the ropes.

But 8 conference titles in 10 years, 7 playoff appearances, 2 titles, 4 national championship appearances, etc. are impossible to ignore for even the most obvious troll and hater.
When I say mojo back, I'm talking the version of Dabo that literally nobody else on planet Earth could compete with.
His down years are still hilariously some of our best seasons in program history.

I hope. But Dabo has been part of the problem the last four years. I never get when people are so blind to that. But if he makes the right moves now we can be very good. I like Dabo. Been soo successful in the past. Just hold him accountable with others.

The last four years there has been a consistent decline. Because of Dabo. ACC was historically bad this year. We would have likely lost to ASU today. His stance on portal and HS NIL has been brutal. His ego wouldn’t allow him to adapt in my opinion. The man definitely loves the camera and mic in front of him tho. Like really likes it. Let’s see what he does. Team can be really good next year.

Think about what you said: “ But Dabo has been part of the problem the last four years. I never get when people are so blind to that. But if he makes the right moves now we can be very good.” We have been GREAT for nine years. Awesome for five or so. Really good for the past four. Why can’t you, and others, credit Dabo for the greatness? No one, truly no one, is at the top of the mountain continuously. Go Tigers!

Ok, Chicken or Judge, name me the schools that have won more games in the last 10 years than Clemson? The last 5 years? More conference championships, more national championships? the list will be extremely short so it will not take long! Appreciation is a beautiful thing, give it a try! Maybe y'all don't remember that 20 year drought without a conference championship. Are changes needed, yes. Will Dabo make them, yes. If you expect perfection, you are going to be disappointed, Judge Keller of all people should know that following Brownell!

COVID definitely affected our program and then the entire sport changed in the blink of an eye. Of course teams who were at the top were going to change. I thought he might hang it up but looks like he wants one more bite of the apple.
There is one small change I would still like to see that may be pretty controversial: let the players go down the hill first. If he wants to shake their hand when they get to the sidelines then walk around and be waiting on them.

I saw these same posts after Dabo fired Streeter and hired Riley
Riley has been a disaster so I think I'll wait and see in regards to this new DC hire
