done. However, if I may, let me say that our coach might have a little of “hardheadiness” in him. I’m mainly referring to the transfer portal. A co-rabid Clemson fan and friend of mine made a statement that I think has some validity to it. He said, “Dabo is like the child that you continually warn to not touch the stove because you will get burnt. Once he finally does it he charges he realizes what you said was right.

When Clemson misses repeatedly on transfers one might want to determine why? Clemson's slow approach is less than effective. Tony Franklin talked about portal tampering recently.

This is really very simple. Dabo has said over and over that NIL is not supposed to be and is not going to be used as a recruiting tool at Clemson. If a portal guy wants to come to Clemson and earn NIL they can. This is NOT complicated. The teams getting these top portal players (Notre Dame, FSU, aTm, and on and on) very likely ARE promising NIL as an incentive. Reports of tampering by multiple coaches suggest many (not all) top prospects who enter the portal already have a deal and landing spot before they enter.
Does this put Clemson at a disadvantage - you bet you aspirin bottle it does. But I’m glad we are running a clean program.

Half these responses are what I expected when I said “don’t flame me.” All I offered was mine and a friends opinion. To the ahole who called y post a coot troll let me tell you I have had the same season tickets since 1966…that’s 57years. Additionally whenI was in the ninth grade me and a friend rode a bus for two days to Miami to see us lose to Colorado in the 1957 Orange Bowl.

Thanks for speaking your mind. You’re absolutely right. Clemson is going to become a dinosaur if we don’t get with the times. Why recruit a bunch of 3-star linemen rn when we could get a multi-year transfer with far more experience. Teams in the ACC are catching up. I know we’ve offered some, but the lack of success indicates that perhaps we’re not trying too hard

I’ll tell you why. Because Dabo wants to develop young men into not just champions on the field, but also a championship youngster. Winning ain’t everything. Makin good youngsters into good older youngsters is important too.
I’m not sure why you think you know more than a man that’s won 2 National Titles. You see 3***, and Dabo see an opportunity. I trust a championship coach. No questions asked.

Look its like this plain and simple. If you heard the new OL coach earlier this week he stated that they were not looking for starters in the portal. They like who they have and are looking to add developmental guys to fill the OL spots. Most of these guys in the portal are leaving their programs to go somewhere and start and potentially make some NIL money. Why leave to go ride the pine at Clemson. I'm a die hard Clemson fan but watching this team this year was hard on the eyes. The team could be helped with the addition of some quality portal players.
