...that Best Is Standard is only about graduating players and Paw Journey; the WHOLE scoreboard doesn't count.
I liked it better when he thought it was also about consistently winning.
Making 11 million dollars a year changes perspective, and it's more about surrounding yourself with friends and family now. I wish I had a job like that.

If what he said was true he would tell the players with no football future stop playing and get an education to help with your future. Dabo needs to understand that the world is listening and they are not as dumb as he seems to think.

Now he tells us before the biggest Clemson football game in years, “The score doesn’t matter.”
What a crock. We can pay plenty of coaches half of what Dabo makes if the score doesn’t matter and all that matters is “having the right people.”

There is more to it than just winning bc we he is paid a high salary.
Proud of the culture and the excellent graduation rate.
If all I cared about is winning, I would watch NFL exclusively.
When the split comes and some SCHOOLS choose to remain SCHOOLS vice a minor league NFL, I hope that we are in the former. I will still watch, I will still support.

I believe we would all appreciate being better than a .500 winning percentage against teams with a pulse. Dabo set the standard and being a big fish in a little pond doesn't cut it anymore.

Dabo could most certainly make more than 11M if he chose to leave so what is your point? Spurrier would have Florida pay Dabo Jimbo level money if he could convince him to come there after Sunbelt Billy.

LOL JK and Dabo Derangement Syndrom. You can always tell it is coming when Clemson does badly, or they get on a roll. One time to rub it in, the other to try and take the shine of the pumpkin. Must be real fun to be a constant hater.

I don’t need to have a life threatening medical event to know surviving one would change my perspective. But I’ve never had one, so I certainly wouldn’t tell someone who had what their experience was or how their perspective changed. I know myself, so I have an advantage in predicting how I may react. I can’t tell you how you’d react though. It’s dangerous to assume you know why someone did what they did, or why they are making the decisions they are making. For instance, maybe you know you grew up a Tiger, and you went to Clemson, but your claim that PJ grew up a Tiger, based partially on the fact he went to Clemson, was actually wrong. You thought you knew, but you didn’t. I would never wish a heart attack on anyone, but I would hope anyone who works hard, makes sacrifices, and rises to the top of their chosen profession, gets paid. And people that start at the bottom and work their way up don't typically do it for the money, they do it for love of something, getting paid is a by-product. I don't think anyone works hard with their eye on the goal of having a heart attack.
The OP wishes to have a job where he makes 11 million/year per his post, even though he’s probably never done it before. We all would. I’m sure none of us wish for a major medical event, including those of us who have never experienced one.

The salary he makes is based on his whole body of work. The program is not going to make the playoffs every year. The 6 straight years he made the playoffs he was under paid. If he got paid 20 m a year for the two national championships Clemson would of gotten a bargain. The program is still in great shape and he is worth every dollar he is making.

of ongoing high-level success.
I don't think anyone disagrees that his contract was justified, based on our playoff run. The point is that the last three years, we have underachieved. Our performance has not come close to justifying him being the one of the highest paid coaches in the sport.
Also, our program is not in great shape. How on earth can you think that?

I asked the other day and you disappeared. Were you in the room during his contract negotiations? How do you know what expectations were set for him? Most of the salaries I ever received were based on my qualifications and experience. Additional bonuses were available for exceptional performance. Doesn’t Dabo have bonuses in his contract for winning conference championships, making the playoffs, and winning the national championship? Seems those are not part of the base deal to me. He may very well be meeting the expectation part of his contract. Or are there clauses in the contract for giving back part of his salary if we don’t win a certain number of games? That would be unusual in most contracts. Since you seem to think you have have personal knowledge of the expectations in his contract, please provide details for us.
Or maybe you are just taking another opportunity to attempt to justify your constant, petty sniping at Dabo and his salary. That’s probably more likely.

Look, the liberals/commies absolutely don't want people making any money. They despise capitalism. So I agree with you on that. However, the fans on here are just simply pointing out that Dabo is not earning his salary, which is a fair and accurate criticism. No one is jealous of his salary on this thread, no one complained about it when he was winning consistently.

Oh the children posting… you would think we lost a game we blew a team off the field with only double the amount of points than at halftime because our coach emptied the bench and didn’t double that score. Oh the youth or whiners who probably were not even at the game like the rest of us. Respect and character is what CU football Program has…proud of it.
