The Bulldogs of La Tech are coached by former Texas Tech QB Sonny Cumbie, who runs an Air Raid offense. Prob gonna see a lot of quick game and screens based off what we've seen first two weeks.

Good, I think our games so far have given our team a lot to learn and grow from. Glad to play teams that want to throw the ball. Learn a lot more than playing a team that runs it 50 times and lets the clock run out.

I might be wrong, but I think the Paladins only threw five or six passes that went beyond five yards of the LOS. Everything else was either close or behind the line

Swinney says La Tech has "some dudes" and 24 transfers. New coach with Cumbie, and with scheme they run will be tough.

He says LT is very experienced upfront and they've played a lot of football. Experienced and tough group. Played two QBs. The game against Missouri (a loss) was competitive but turnovers killed them. Defensively La Tech held up really well.

A night game in the Valley "should be fun" and Swinney says they need a great crowd. And don't take for granted how hard it is to win. He said they need a great crowd that shows up ready. He knows they've beat a lot of people at home and the environment is the reason

Swinney points to last weekend's games and the upsets, says you can't take anything for granted. Talent only gets you so far. Turnovers played a huge part in those upsets.

Swinney is unsure if Bryan Bresee will play this weekend. He says Bresee has way more important things to deal with than football.

On defense, Swinney says the defense needs to show up ready to play. There were a lot of completions at the LOS. Name of the game is points, however, so he is satisfied with that. Didn't like "the juice" they played with.

He says Furman played harder and tougher than Clemson, executed their scheme better. Third down was disappointing.

He says Wes is even-keeled, doesn't think there will be an issue adjusting. He says Wes is the same way whether they play great or not good, he's a savvy guy and a veteran guy and has seen it all.

Swinney said the 4-game rule (without using a year of eligibility) was put in as a positive, but with the transfer portal it's causing guys to bail earlier.

Named Miles Murphy as someone who loafed. I was thinking we had not heard his name much this year so hopefully he will begin to get after it as this is his money year unless he decides to return which i would think unlikely.
