Everyone wanted to call him complacent all year. The best years in Clemson history were after the last time coaching changes occurred. If Dabo thrives under these conditions maybe everyone will be in for a big surprise next season.

Exactly. Dabo wants nothing but the best for all of his staff and players. These guys are having their dreams come true and Dabo is watching like a proud Papa. There is no resentment or sour grapes like we are seeing from a lot of folks on here. This is how it feels when one of your kids goes out and lands his dream job. You hate to see them move away but you’re swollen with pride at the same time. He also knows it is a great reflection on him and on Clemson. Just like players come to Clemson to get ready for the next level, he now is building a reputation for coaches going to the next level. Clemson will be fine with Dabo guiding the ship. I agree with him - this is going to be fun.

I think he knows what he's doing and he already knows what he's going to do - he's just waiting to see what staff will be available (who is being poached by BV and/or TE) before he announces it. I'm certain things are covered for the bowl game. And for more permanent positioning, we have a little time for that to flesh itself out.

I am positive that Dabo has a plan for this situation and I firmly believe that these Hires actually worked in his favor. The Venables hire probably was going to happen sooner or later and from clemson's
perspective we would have preferred later --- but a replacement is in place [Dabo's plan]and we might be less predictable and have plays in on time. On the OC side we for many reasons have gotten stale and predictable that is not just on TE's shoulders but as has been discussed to death talent etc. Tony leaving makes it easier to evolve your offensive program without moving a friend. I trust in Dabo!!
