Dabo should cut his salary in half

12

Oct 29, 2023, 8:48 PM

and use the remainder to hire big names like Dan Mullen and Will Muschamp to serve the coordinator roles. Neither of these guys will be head coaches again but would jump at 2.5 Million each if we let let them bring "their guys" into the program. It would transform this program overnight. If he does not at least cut his own salary to free up revenue, then he does not love Clemson.

I hope one of the coaches is reading this.

What an idiotic statement!! So when you have a bad month go tell your boss that you are giving half your annual salary back because you burned to many chicken nuggets!!

I think he should be paid by the win

if he can not guarantee us 10 games and the ACC, yes. Most CEOs would see it this way with their top-paid executives as well. Besides, he can always run for US Senate, or sell houses if it does not work out at Clemson.

When you get paid $30,000 a day with the expectation that you consistently perform at a high level, and all of a sudden your performance for an extended period time suffers, then yes, it’s fair for people to wish for that salary to decrease, regardless of it’s feasibility. Equating this season and Dabo’s attitude to just a “bad month” is more idiotic of a statement.

Not sure what is worse the post or the choice of coaches.

Choice of coaches. Mullen and Muschamp?

Yes choice of coaches/people. Not exactly the two coaches I would have picked to be associated with Clemson.

Or at least make it performance-based

Maybe $1,000,000 per win.

That may be less than half this year, but could pay off later. It’s probably up to his agent though, so that would never happen.

I like your thinking,

and every time you have consecutive losses, it shaves a year off your buyout term. Smart CEOs structure their executive contracts the same way.

I would throw 3m or 4m at Arkansas Head Coach and former UGA OL coach Sam Pittman when Arky fires him,
