Really, he has been in this job for well over a decade. He is tired of it. He needs a new challenge.
Thusly, Dabo resigns at the end of the year and takes the Alabama job that’s gonna open up.
We lure Jimbo Fisher out of retirement and he becomes HC.
We fire current DC and Ben Boulware takes over that job
We all are then glad and TV ratings go through the roof.

Five years ago? They absolutely would.
But now? His elite success last decade is overshadowed by the decline he oversaw, including a poor record against the best teams on our schedule this decade.
Alabama wasn’t interested in Dabo last time and I don’t think they would be now either.
I also don’t think Florida will be seriously interested in Dabo.
