A little fire can be put out easily and everyone and all programs deal with it these days with NIL.
using Georgia as an example they have lost out on 2-3 5 star QB's just recently and had a number of 4 and 5 star starters transfer out even in the midst of there most dominant run in college football. I use them as an example to magnify that EVERYONE has to deal with this new college football.
And having said all that Dabo needs to stamp out this fire (and there is one) before it gets out of control. there have been hundreds of post on this, but today once again shows........tomorrow isn't the time to change today is......
Dabo simply must stop this insane tying one arm behind his back and Clemsons as well with his don't pay up front pay to retain mantra and also obviously the no portal thing. He keeps saying it will be better "when revenue sharing kicks in"........how so? are you still going to not pay up front and use no portal at times......because it certainly wont get better in recruiting if thats the big plan.
I do think coach prime is a bit of a clown, and i saw michigan paid nearly 11 million to flip the top QB from lsu, but quite frankly these guys are desperate to win and are recruiting like it........Dabo is sitting there acting like a person very content with his big money stack he is not doing everything he can. its a pay to play system now...its very simple...and you must pay upfront and sometimes yes outbid.

Someone please correct me if I am wrong with my memory. Didn’t Neff or Dabo come out and say that Clemson football has the money to be competitive through 2026? I know this is not NIL money but, thinking about the difference in conference payout.
For Clemson and Dabo’s sake, I pray that Clemson beats the chicken’s on 11/30. If not, all is going to get real ugly real fast.

8 win seasons will be in jeopardy with 3 and 2 star recruiting classes. That’s getting into GT, NCSt, Louisville recruiting territory. This coaching staff has shown the ability to get outcoached way too frequently. Without better talent just getting bowl eligible will be a challenge,

I'm not fine with it like you are. Those Tommy West and Ken Hatfield years were not fun for fans.
Ernest Hemingway was asked how he went bankrupt, and he replies, "Two ways. At first, gradually , then suddenly".
2021 started the creeping gradualism in decline for two years, then last year (2023) was noticeably more progressive. This year we seemed to have improved in some areas and regressed in others. But the conference as a whole is worse too. If we don't make a couple drastic changes immediately then we are going to see the "suddenly". We are really a little too slow already but the bleeding can be stopped with a small bandage. Let's not wait until we need a tourniquet and will have to amputate a limb. As a football program we are at the 11th hour. Let's not wait till the clocks strikes at midnight and then it will be too late. I definitely don't want to go back to the Ken Hatfield days or Tommy Bowden days. And surely not the Tommy West days. Heck, 2 of his 6 years we didn't even have enough wins to make a bowl. Are you ok with that?

yep. I'm okay with the status quo. If our floor is 9 win seasons then you won't see me complain.
Forcing Dabo out could send us into a Tennessee, Texas, or Nebraska style tail spin that I want no part of.

He does and dies not care. He is gonna do it his way. The university os allowing it, so there is no need to blast him. He is doing what he is being allowed to do. They could stop it, but are chosing to allow to him to not use tbe resources available out of his own principles. It has nothing to do with what Clemson could at least try. I'm tired of him. Love Clemson, but not a fan of his.

You tell me... Blind man in denial! Anyone on here that calls out Pastor Dabo gets called a coot. Fans like you are ruining Clemson due to being complacent. We are no longer competitive when we step on the field with elite programs. But hey support it and be an enabler as our program is ran into the ground

Nope. Just never been a yes man! Not buying what Dabo is selling anymore. Just because we don't like the coaches philosophy does not mean we are not fans. We can dislike him and call it out when and wherever we chose. Still pull for the Tigers, but don't like the coach. Think back Georgia fans loved their Dawgs, but no longer supported coach Richt. Look what tbat got them? He was winning 9-10 a year but no titles. Look where a fresh start got them.

It's senseless to pay a ton of money to load your team with 5 stars then not keep them. Sure, if you want all your starters to leave when you go buy new starters.
I wonder, do you buy a new car every year and trade it in when it gets dirty?
I would not have Dabo changing. He knows exactly what he's doing and I believe it will work better than what UGA is doing. It will all come out in the wash.

Yep. Coincidentally, two of the three big players in our conference with NIL and the portal will be playing for the league championship 😢. Gotta get with the times or just say “ we’re not interested and get used to 8 win seasons and high grad rates ( slow golf clap)”. We haven’t beat one team this year with a pulse. Louisville isn’t exactly a world beater and Pitt was a shell of themselves this past weekend. Always better to get a W, but those are the facts.

Until you have control mechanisms on the NIL it will continue to chaos, money grabbing with the have's and have not's.
It seems to me since players wanted to be paid then a ceiling cap needs to be put on every position per player.
Example:
QB $500,000 max at any University RB $450,000 max at any University WR $450,000 max at any University
LB $400,000 max at any University DE $350,000 max at any University DB $350,000 max at any University
Regardless of the cap amounts per position each University has the same amount per player. Any University that breaks these amounts paying higher will be on suspension for no Conference Championships, no Bowl games and no Playoff games. Now the playing field evens out somewhat for school and player.
Now recruiting comes back into play for every school. If a player decides to enter the portal then he already knows what his cap amount will be and this will encourage them to stay put and work harder to earn a starting position.
Unfortunately Pandor's box has been opened but more thought and control should have been done. Since it wasn't then the demise of College Football has been done. With greed and power maybe just maybe the NIL will unravel and a redo can take place.
Here's to hoping.

You should know that what you want isn't possible. That's due to any number of federal court decisions.
The two key ones are NCAA vs Alston and the Tennessee vs NCAA case. The latter was about the NCAA going after Nico Iamaleava, Spyre Sports, and UT.
Those two decisions say that the NCAA can't regulate or interfere with private NIL in any way.
What you want violates federal law.
Even if the NCAA gets an antitrust exemption (unlikely) it don't change the the private NIL situation.
The smart live stovetop fighting it, embrace it, and get very, very good at it.
