sure don't pay out much of it in medical claims, regardless of what their commercials say. I had their insurance for twelve months, at $111 / month premiums. That totaled $1332. I had a LOT of medical issues and bills that year. How much of my $1332 was I able to recoup, you ask? ZERO, NADDA, KERFLUIE, KAPUT, KERFLUMPT!
You can have outpatient surgeries, ER visits, etc, all you want, they pay nothing. Even overnight hospital stays, they pay nothing. I did not have an extended hospital stay during that year, which would supposedly have been something they WOULD have helped out on. I am skeptical. I believe it more likely, they would have found another loophole to keep from paying. It is what insurance companies stated goal in life is, it seems. &^%$#@!

Yep the insurance industry is the root cause of all that’s wrong with health care in this country.

Yep the insurance industry is the root cause of all that’s wrong with health care in this country. nope you can put that one on the Fed government. OSHA, Labor Dept, EPA, Medicare & HCFA set their policies year to year then the insurance plans generally follow suit. Here’s a fun fact for you as an example: between 1967 (introduction of Medicare) through 2010 (last data I had available) the US population roughly doubled, the number of practicing physicians roughly doubled, the number of administrative personnel in healthcare increased by 3000% over that time frame. And that was 2 years before Obamacare, so god knows what’s happened since then. Healthcare is the most highly regulated industry in this country

That and frivolous lawsuits. Sad, the state of the American healthcare system.
